Today, we're going to be taking a look at part number DL5144639. This is the Dutton-Lainson replacement handle for the Dutton-Lainson winches. It does offer a slight offset as you can see. If we're taking measurement of the handle measuring from the center of the mounting location to the center of the hand grip, that's going to give us a handle length of right at 6 inches, overall length measuring edge to edge, it's going to be about 7 and one-quarter of an inch. The offset is a nice little feature to have. It's going to help clear other accessories or obstacles on the trailer. This is a quick-attach winch handle, so as something's going to replace any loss or damage handle on a Dutton-Lainson winch and will fit the following winches from Dutton-Lainson, 1602A and 1802A.
Dutton-Lainson makes this product in the USA. It's got a nice swivel grip right here, so you can always get a nice, secure grip. It's got some grooves in it to get your fingers around there. Just making sure that you get a nice, safe grip on the handle when you're operating your winch. That's going to do it for today's review of part number DL5144639.

Fits 1602A and 1802A winches.I bought the Dutton Lainson 2 speed winch that has the removable handle. I love the setup and this winch is stout. Only problem is I keep losing the handles. I seem to be depositing the handles all around the Southwest.

The handle does what is needed, but in the item description it says it is a quick attach handle (and if it actually was it would have the spring loaded clip) . That is my only issue with this handle. I needed a shorter length handle for clearance issues and it does a great job where it is needed but I have to remember to remove it or it will fall off.

The winch handle that I ordered came in very timely. It fits nicely. I did expect it to come with the attaching nut, even though it actually never stated that. Had to figure out the size nut also. No specs anuwhere. 5/8"
