The DL winch emergency handle works perfect! I have the TW4000 winch, I can't believe this handle is not included in the original kit, Hey DL raise the price $20 and include it!

Looked all over and etrailer was the only place I could find a 5/8 inch connection handle for an older boat winch. Works great !!

Solid. Basic welding job. Dose not have the directional adjustment of a hex wrench handle but should do the job in lowering and raising that 500# swing keel!

If that is the case then you would instead want to use a worm gear winch, the Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch part # DL10954. In regards to comparing a wheel style and level style action, we do not have any conversion kits for this nor would I be able to recommend any retro fit advice. I recommend you use a standard style level action...
