Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver Winch Mounting Plate - 6495

I use this to mount a spare battery when camping. When not towing the trailer on drives from the campground the battery charges through the trailer wiring on the Jeep. I bolted a battery case on using the winch mounting holes. Heavy duty so this can easily handle the weight of a deep cycle battery. 865895

Great customer service all around. I was looking around for a sturdy winch and I was not disappointed. This products works great. The double hole option is nice if you want more clearance on the front bumper. I did not need it but it is an option. The welds on the product look good and the paint as well. Good quality. I ended up round out the corners for better clearance. The picture shows the winch plate in the inner hole. 791579

Received the Superwinch. Sent in the mfg pkg but survived the trip. The mounting plate is HEAVY and broke through the box, but appears intact. I have a Superwinch on my Polaris Ranger, works great. This is for a tilt bed trailer mount. 663432

  • What is Shank Length of Winch Mount part # 6495
The shank of the Winch Mount part # 6495 measured from the end to where the plate starts is 7-3/8 inches. I also attached a link to a review video for this for you to check out as well.

  • Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver Plate and Wiring for a Warn VR8 Winch
I checked with Warn and the mounting hole spacing for the VR8 winch is 10 inches side to side and 4-1/2 inches front to back with the overall length of the winch at 20.7 inches and 6.3 inches front to back. Based on that you can use Curt mount # C31009, # C31010, or Draw-Tite # 6495. At most your winch can draw up to 457 amps and a 650 cold cranking amp minimum battery is recommended. Based on these figures I would go with wiring and quick disconnect kit # BDW20207 which was designed...

  • Will the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Winch Mount Work With a Smittybilt 17,500 Lb Winch
The Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver Winch Mounting Plate part # 6495 can accommodate two different bolt patterns, 10" long x 4-1/2" wide and 6-1/2" long x 4-1/2" wide. These are the two most common winch mounting patterns. The Smittybilt 17,500 Lb Winch uses a 10" long x 4-1/2" wide bolt pattern so it will work with the Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver Winch Mounting Plate. If this is not what you are asking then please clarify this for me that way I can better assist you. If you...

  • Front Hitch and Winch Plate that Fits 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited
I wish we did, but at this time we do not have a winch mount for the factory front or rear bumper of your 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited. Only solution we'd have is a front hitch like the part # 65079 with a hitch mounted winch plate like the part # 6495.

  • Is there a Hitch-Mounted Winch Mounting Plate for a Warn 8274 Winch
Draw-Tite winch mounting plate # 6495 will work with most major winch brands. The same goes for Curt mounting plate # C31010. I have included pictures showing the mounting hole patterns for each so you can compare them to your Warn winch to determine if either will work. Even if a winch is not listed on the page that doesn't mean it won't fit which is why the hole spacing measurements are important.

  • What is Weight Capacity of Draw-Tite Front Mount Hitch Receiver Winch Mounting Plate # 6495
I checked with my contact at Draw-Tite and they said that the Draw-Tite Front Mount Hitch Receiver Winch Mounting Plate, part # 6495, is designed for use with winches up to a 9,000-lb line pull rating. The reason for the 9,000-lb maximum is because he said most all of the front mount receiver hitches are only designed for winches with a maximum line pull rating of 9,000 lbs, so the front hitch on the vehicle will be the limiting weight capacity.

  • Utility Trailer Winch Mounting Options
You would not be able to mount a winch to a wood bed if you are going to put any kind of load on it. You would need to get the winch mounted to the steel frame somehow. To do this you can use U bolts to attach through the wood bed to the trailer frame, if there is steel frame below the bed. Otherwise you will want to fabricate a mounting location for your trailer. Since you were looking at the Front Mount Trailer Hitch Winch Plate, part # 6495, you could purchase a Hitch Receiver tube...

This mount is all welded and ready to use right out of the box. The plate on the part # 6495 is 1/4 inch thick and has the same mounting hole pattern as the C31010. • Is There a Recommended Winch Mounting Plate Thickness for a 12,000 lb Winch
There really isn't a specific width (or thickness) of a winch mounting plate to use with a 12,000 lb winch. You just want to choose one that has a mounting bolt hole pattern that is compatible with your winch. The Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver Winch Mounting Plate # 6495 has bolt holes that are 10" by 4-1/2" on center and 6-1/2" by 4-1/2" (see attached photo) on center which is a very common measurement. The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C31075 when paired with the Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver Winch Mounting Plate part # 6495 is a great option for a 2017 Toyota Tacoma and will work well with the Warn VR EVO 10S Winch. In regards to the line pull capacity, you will just be limited to 9,000 lbs because of the trailer hitch but that is perfectly fine and will still be plenty for vehicle recovery. That said, if you are however looking for a winch which more closely...

  • Compatibility of Winch Mounted to Class I Hitch Receiver and Decline Slope
I'm with you on your calculations although I'm not a trig expert. The issue is there is nothing that has been tested with a winch on a class I hitch. The Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver Winch Mounting Plate # 6495 is only a fit on 2 inch hitch receivers and there isn't a mount for the smaller 1-1/4 inch receiver.
