Upgrades your Dometic FanTastic 730 Series roof vent for extra functionality. Works on high and low style bases.
Features:
Specs:
This roof vent assembly kit uses a thermostat to help maintain an even temperature inside your RV, camper, or enclosed trailer. You can also control the dome (sold separately) and fan (sold separately) manually with a built-in hand knob or with the included remote control. A rain sensor is included as well to signal the dome to close and the fan to shut off when it gets wet.
Air out your RV after cooking or just draw in some fresh air while you sleep. This remote controls the vent's thermostat as well as its manual and automatic speeds. You can control the direction of airflow - in or out - with the push of a button. Operate the remote control in your RV or place it in the included wall cradle so you will always know exactly where it is.
Manual and Automatic Operating Modes
This variable-speed ceiling fan operates in 2 modes: manual and automatic. An on/off button automatically lifts the dome (sold separately) and activates the fan. To use the manual mode, press the arrow buttons on the left side of the remote or turn the knob on the vent housing to increase or decrease the fan speed.
The manual speeds are listed on the remote from 10 percent to 100 percent. As you cycle through the speeds with the arrow buttons, an LED light next to the selected setting will light up. As you cycle, you may notice that the LEDs for 2 settings will be simultaneously lit. This means that the selected speed is the average of both of those settings.
To switch from the manual to the automatic, thermostat-controlled mode, press one of the temperature arrow buttons on the right side of the remote. When using the automatic mode, you can preset the vent to maintain a desired temperature inside your RV. The temperatures are listed from 60 F to 90 F. As you cycle through the temperatures with the arrow buttons, an LED light next to the selected temperature will light up. Again, when 2 temperature settings are simultaneously lit, the selected temperature is the average.
The fan's internal thermostat will sense the actual room temperature, and the fan will run until the preset temperature is achieved. When the temperature rises above the preset temperature, the fan will automatically kick on again. So when you go out, you don't have to waste energy by leaving the vent running at full blast just to ensure that your RV is cool when you return. And because the fan will activate anytime that the preset temperature is reached, you can set up the system to ensure that your pets remain comfortable while you're out.
To reverse the direction of airflow, simply push the air out/air in button while the dome (sold separately) is open.
This vent has a powered lift arm for the dome (sold separately), so you don't have to manually crank it open or closed. The dome automatically opens when you turn on the fan. An up/down button on the remote also lets you open and close the dome when the fan is not running.
And a hand knob is built in so that you can operate the dome in the event of a power failure.
A moisture sensor ensures that the dome will close when rain or snow hits. So you can leave the vent running or preset to run at a certain temperature, even if the forecast calls for rain. When the sensor gets wet, it signals the dome to close. With the dome closed, the fan blades will stop running. When the sensor dries, the dome will re-open and the fan blades will resume operation. To keep the sensor from activating in rain, snow, or humid and dewy conditions, simply add a vent cover (sold separately) to block moisture. To disable the rain sensor, hold the up/down button on the remote for 3 seconds.
This vent requires a 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" opening in your trailer's roof and ceiling. To replace an old vent, install this vent into the existing opening. If your roof does not already have a vent, you will need to mark and cut an opening between roof joists to install this unit. And the 2-wire design makes it easy to have your vent hooked up and ready for use.

Upgrades your Dometic FanTastic 730 Series roof vent for extra functionality. Works on high and low style bases.Bought this upgrade for the three 3-speed vent fans in my motorhome. Installation was a snap using the thoughtfully included materials. The upgrade gives us 10-speed fans (less noise with good airflow), rain sensors to automatically turn off the fans and close the vents if it should start to rain, and remote open/close and speed controls (versus the old manual mode on the old 3-speeed set up). Because this upgrade uses the existing fan motor and vent lid there were no changes needed on the roof and the entire installation was accomplished from the inside of the rig.
This would have gotten 1 star had the etrailer customer service people not been so nice and tried so hard to fix the problems associated with this order. When I first got the order, it came in one box, had only the fan shroud with nothing else - missing the lift motor, lift arm, remote, instructions, etc. This after waiting almost 6 months for this product. When etrailer found all the missing parts and sent them to me, I was able to find instructions online and installed it in my RV. I must say that it works fine, just very pricey for such poor quality control - glad I had all winter to wait for this.
This was a very expensive kit to buy to repair a circuit board for a FanTastic Fan, but that is the only option Dometic offers, and they do not honor their warranty without using an "authorized repair depot".
This was cheaper and easier than replacing the whole thing with a MaxxAir, or taking the trailer in, but it was a tough decision.
I will insist on MaxxAir in my next trailer for certain.
For the high cost of this product, the instructions are horrible. The wording is confusing and skips many steps. The small grainy pictures are kind of ridiculous. Once i threw out the instructions and reverse engineered it, the installation went smooth. I expect better from etrailer.com but was let down this time. Once installed the operation of the unit is very good. Remote is a lifesaver for my short spouse.
Great product, only issue was given a male spade crimp connection when it called for a female.

Great, works as expected.
Worked great easy to install, the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it makes me mad I had to buy the whole upgrade kit just to replace the board.
Product looks good. Thin cardboard box was crushed and punctured by something big, but with no apparent damage inside. Lucky. Not etrailer’s fault, I’d guess. Cheap packaging on Dometic’s part.
The package showed up in time and ahead of schedule. The instruction could have been a little better. I was not replacing the exact same style fan I was upgrading to an automatic open and ther was extra wires that I did not know where they went. Trial and error got it working. Biggest thing is the remote. Great to have. Has fan speed reversible fan directions and on and off. The thing I thought he most important would be a timer it does not have that it has a temperature and humidity control. Useless .
We only wanted a new button control cover for our working fan. As always, those parts are no longer made and a whole kit had to be purchased for way more money. Now we are stuck with this obnoxious remote mounted on the wall next to the original button control. New Black remote did NOT interact with the original wall mount.
this picture shows the new wireless remote. I took 1/4" oak panel to form a patch cover where the hardwired remote was.
Went together, very easily everything fit correctly. Amy at eTrailer was excellent to deal with
Ordering was easy
This had to be modified to fit my Camper the corners of my original Fan-Tastic fan are tapered as well as the opening in my roof. The lift harm that came with the upgrade kit had the connector on the wrong side so I had to keep my old one in place. the Lock on my roof is completely on the wrong side so I cannot use the lock and i am not sure what is missing from the lower corner of fan upgrade

It doesn’t shut off by itself. I have to push the manual handle up to stop the unit.

It does not shut off without pushing on the manual handle. any ideas? It doesn’t shut off by itself. I have to push the manual handle up to stop the unit. I don’t pull down on the handle. It does it by its self. I have to push it up to stop it from running.
This has potential and if you got one that worked properly and the parts fit your model this is an excellent choice but.....
Our first problem was that the Dometic customer service tech told us that this model was intended to fit our current vent. Either it was the wrong one or the 7350 does just does not fit. We had to use the old deck instead of the new replacement and combine parts of the lift mechanism to make it work. It took a frustrating day before we got it all together.
The next thing was that the speed control which had lots of different speeds was defective. It stopped having many speeds and now only has the slowest and the fastest. Too low to do much or fast and loud. No in between.
At that point returning it was not an option since we no longer had all of the new parts and frankly the ordeal of getting it out and then going without a fan until the replacement arrived and installing it all over again was worse than living with only two speeds.
I need to find a new one not sold by Dometic and replace it when I have the time.
The kit was delivered without the wireless remote. I am awaiting instructions from etrailer what to do next.

I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you.
Besides having a major crush on Justin B for his amazing service, I found this unit to work very well. I could not get the 13 speeds as noted in the review but it has two speeds that are just right. The install was only made difficult by existing wiring which is not a product problem. Thanks Justin B Thanks E trailer
This was to upgrade the fan in our 2006 Roadtrek 210 Popular. It had been upgraded to an earlier remote controlled and the controller failed, for which there was no replacement. I decided to upgrade to the current remote system. It was an easy upgrade.
The upgrade worked great. the install was pretty quick. I did not rush it and followed the directions and it my fantastic vent fine finally is going to be used.
Received on time, Reviewed instructions and installed. Unit worked as a new one.
I wish all things i order would be this easy.
Thanks etrailer
.
My lift arm stripped and would not close. This upgrade kit has all you need and now have remote control. My wife was to short to reach controls before.
Installed pretty easy but instructions stated to keep the "jumper" installed on the circuit board for can motors & remove it for pancake motors. We have a can motor & until we removed the jumper we only had 2 speeds & off, now with the jumper removed we have at least 8 speeds.
Replaced older style fantastic fan, not hard to install
Easy retrofit. Really enjoy the remote for this fan. It sure beat having to get up to make adjustments to the fan.
I did not realize the remote was IR. Having to find, grab the remote and point it at the fan, the replace it in the holder just to change a setting may not be an upgrade after all. It was more convenient just to reach up and change the setting.

After using this for a year really only used about 3 of 12 months it works fine and was a good upgrade to the factory installed base unit with no remote or thermostat. Will be bringing RV out of winter storage soon, hopefully no problems with this working.
