How this part is designed to work on the tightened free-backing brake assemblies.This is a riveted design and it does have a Galphorite plating on it to help deliver superior corrosion protection. This is the quantity of one rear brake shoe. And the reason this is the secondary shoe . The way you can tell the difference, the secondary shoe will always have a longer pad.So if you compared this to the one that's on the other side of the brake assembly it'll be a shorter pad. That's the primary.

This one would be the secondary shoe, or the rear brake shoe.And the dimension when they say 12 inch by two inch if this one is on the assembly and you had brake shoe on the other side and you measure directly across that would be the 12 inch measurement.The two inch measurement is the actual width of the pad on the shoe.
