Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Dexter left hand disc brake retrofit kit. Now, this kit is designed to work with trailers that have an axle capacity of 7,000 pounds. And this retrofit kit will let you create one disc brake assembly for your trailer. It does require a Dexter brake hub and rotor for 7,000 pound axles. And that hub and rotor, we do sell separately here at etrailer.com.
So this retrofit kit here will include everything that you see here on my table. You are going to receive one E-coated, ductile iron caliper with hardware and then two semi metallic brake pads, and then one E-coated caliper mounting bracket. And again, all of the hardware that you need for installation. And this is a left hand kit, as I said at the beginning of our time together. But if you're also looking for the right hand kit, on your screen, I am including our part number for that right hand kit.
You can just take that part number and pop it into the search field or our website, and that will take you to that kit and you can add that to your order, if you are in need of it. This does feature and E-coat finish on these parts, and that's going to give you a nice corrosion resistance for fresh water and limited salt water use. The caliper itself is self-adjusting, and so that's going to ensure maximum surface contact for smooth equal braking. And then the semi metallic brake pads are going to resist heat and provide excellent grip. And then the mounting bracket is going to give you strength and durability.
As you can see, this is designed to fit a five-bolt brake flange configuration. The weld-on brake flange is sold separately. And this does require a hydraulic brake actuator and brake lines for these brakes to be activated. Again, those items are sold separately. And you do wanna make sure that you get lines and an actuator.
It'll have a PSI rating of at least 1,600 PSI. You are going to receive an instruction sheet to guide you through the installation process. But I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
