I installed these on a 725T aluminum frame 1999 Terry. They raised the trailer a couple inches which doesn't sound like much but made all the difference in dragin the back bumper, back levelers etc. Couldn't tell any difference in towing or fuel useage. Any ways it wasn't enough to notice. Trailer handled the same. Make sure to cross check fitment with the folks at the store. I didnt originally and paid a hefty restock shipping fee for not doing so. Good luck and Happy Trails Jeffb

The lift did what I needed it to do. I havent noticed any difference in towing. A few inches makes a big difference. Installed on 2000 25fleetwood terry.

Ordering was easy. Shipping was on time. Communication on shipping was good. The kit appeared to well made. Didn't see any issues upon opening. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The only thing was the bolts and nuts, I don't know if they have some sort of locktite or something on them but I had to wrench them from the first two turns to the end, and really had to work at it as they were incredibly tight. At first I thought that either I had cross threaded them or that the bolt and nut were different threads, neither was an issue. It took me probably twice to three times longer to install the kit because of this. It was easier to take off the very rusted original bolts than putting the new ones on. The final results were excellent.

Installation was super fast and straight forward allowing more clearance for the step on my trailer and for larger tires.

by:

My Forest River "mini lite" trailer axles wimped out, and the trailer was just about sitting on top of the tires, would rub even if the water tank was full. New axles were out of the question so I got two of these lift kits. problem solved , not a hard install. If you're not sure which axle you have take a picture of the sticker on the axle and call Dexter they will tell you so you can order the right lift kit.

Installed this about a year ago. Simple and sturdy with good quality. Everything you need is there. Installation took about 30 minutes. My trailer is used for overlanding so this part has proven itself on rough trails and mostly off pavement action. I probably could have used a taller lift but thats purely personal preference.

So far impressed with how much more clearance this will give me seems pretty stout hopefully it lasts a long time thanks for this product.

I love my camper, but my only complaint is that it did not have the ground clearance I needed for anything but the best roads. This kit allows me to get off-road, not to very extreme conditions, but much better than it was without it.

I ordered this kit to provide extra room for tires(AM3S120) that have a higher speed rating. Everything shipped quickly! The kit fit perfectly with no problems.

I have a 2019 Geo Pro FBS without the off-road package. The Geo Pro had 14" wheels. The ground clearance was not that great so I went with this 3" Torflex lift kit. Now when I say that the installation was easy, that is exactly that. Super easy and it did come with an installation booklet with step by step photos. Total install time: 1 hr 30 min. That is start to finish. Total height that I gained: over 5 inches. Because I went with 225/ 75/ 15R. This is the best route to go toget the extra needed clearance.

It was a easy fix to lift my 1988 Jayco, about 2 hours including finding and placingthe jack stands, didn’t have to take off the wheels like the video recommends, used wrenches instead of hooking up air and using the impact gun! Looks great when I kick back and look at it!

Timely arrival, correct product, appropriately packaged and In perfect condition. What else is there?

by:

They work just as advertised. I used them to lift a [email protected] teardrop, and the installation was very straightforward. Together with the new, larger tires and wheels I am putting on (going from 13" to 15" wheels), I will pick up just over 4" in additional ground clearance.

Worked great. Fit was good on my Starcraft trailer. Instructions were good. Install took about two hours. It is somewhat hard to access the bolts, but not insurmountable. I used some liquid wrench on the existing bolts a day or two before installation and was a timesaver.

Installed this kit on a 2015 Little Guy Silver Shadow 5 x 10. Kit was easily to install (note this application required rotating the brackets orientation, open side faces inward). Note: The first order did not make it due to UPS(lost in transit). Etrailer sent a replacement out the same day.

Perfect fit for my application, a 2017 Riverside Retro 509jr teardrop trailer. Did the job myself as I am a mechanic and have more tools than Snap-On, and it took just over an hour. Etrailer has and will continue to be my go to supplier, thank you George!

The lift kit part looks like it was manufactured properly (I haven't installed the lift yet), but as many have mentioned, the paint job sucked. The hardware bag ripped open in route and the loose parts rattled off a lot of the paint. I repainted before installing. The package shipped the day of the order and arrived on time. The 4 Star rating was due to Dexter Axle's packaging...not etrailer.com. I will order from etrailer.com again.

I installed these on a Riverside 509 treardrop camper. Worked great. Easy to install, I had it done in a couple of hours the same day I received them.

They fit and they do their job. That's about it. Only the outside half of the lift bracket was powder coated. The inside where the welds are was bare steel and was already starting to rust.

  • Axle Lift Kit for 2007 Airstream Bambi 19 Foot Travel Trailer
The lift kit you need is the Torflex Lift Kit - Tandem Axle - 2-7/8" Lift # K71-724-02 which only comes in a set for two axles. Unfortunately we don't sell a single axle lift kit for that specific axle and the mounting hole locations are specific so another lift spacer won't work.

  • Will Torsion Axle Lift Kit for Camper Allow Larger Tires
You may be able to add larger tires if you use a lift kit, though you would also have to get different wheels for the tires to fit. In regards to clearance, with trailer tires, the general rule of thumb is you want at least 3" of clearance from the top of the tire to your fender and at least 1" of clearance between the inside of the tire and your trailer's frame rail. So with that in mind there is some information you need to know before proceeding, starting with the torsion axle you...

I have a solution for you, but the # K71-723-01 is designed for Dexter torsion axles and will not fit a Lippert torsion axle, so it's not going to be the correct fit. From what I was able to find out from some research, the 2012 Forest River R-Pod 172 has a capacity of around 3200-lbs, so it's most likely that you've got a 3500-lbs axle.
