Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at the Demco standoff bracket. This is going to replace the brake pedal clamp on your Demco SBS Delta Force braking system. This is going to allow your Delta Force to work in vehicles with uneven floors or a unique brake pedal arm, or maybe even an oddly-shaped brake pedal than the standard brake pedal clamp won't fit onto. So this will work specifically for your Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, and the Fiat 500 Sport with the manual transmission. This is gonna be very easy to get installed.
They've included bolts and nuts there for you, so that you can clamp this on either side of your brake pedal arm. They've also included some instructions with pictures to help you get everything installed properly. But this is going to be a one-time installation so once you this all put together, it's going to stay on your brake pedal and then this little opening here is going to allow your Delta Force braking system to attach so that it will pull on your brake pedal to make sure that your vehicle is going to apply the brakes properly. So, if you are having some issues getting your Delta Force installed with your brake pedal, this is gonna be a great option for you. It's got five different bolt holes here to help make sure that it's going to align properly, and like I said, the instructions walk you through all of that.
But because this is a Demco product, you can trust it's gonna work well with your braking system. You're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues or wondering if it's actually going to be applying the brakes. Obviously that's very important as you're flat towing. So this is going to be a great way of making sure that you know that your brakes are gonna be applied, and that this is going to fit properly on your brake pedal. Fits my Jeep and works. That's really all I expected. Did have to slightly bend the end to adjust to the braking system, but it's simple to hook up and use.
This is the third kit I have installed on different vehicles. Once installed they have worked well. On my 22 Jeep Gladiator it was a little more difficult as the brake pedal arm is oddly shaped. I finally got it secured by tightening the clamp all the way down.
Worked great.
