The brake assemblies I received seem to be just fine. They were a good fit on my trailer. Haven't completed the job yet to try the brakes out, but they look great. All my other parts were correct and very well packaged. I really appreciate the great customer service. These guys seem to really care. 344527

The product is just fine, as long as not using for an application that requires a waterproof connection. This is not a heat shrinkable connector. 281813

  • Connecting New 4-Way with 4 Wires to Trailer that Has 5 Wires
The two tan wires of your trailer wiring will get ran to the single brown wire of your new plug. This circuit is the running lights circuit and since it goes to both sides of the trailer there's two wires for it. You'd run the two wires into one side of a butt connector like part # DW05714 and the single wire from the new connector gets ran to the other side.

  • Which is Preferred Connection for SMI CoachLink 900 Wireless Transmitter
The SMI CoachLink 900 Wireless Transmitter and Receiver Braking Indicator Set # SM99945 that you mentioned comes with a couple butt end connectors and a couple quick splices for tapping into a circuit. I personally don't care for quick splices as the few times I've tried to use them I either ended up cutting the circuit I was trying to tap into or didn't press the blade hard enough to get the circuits to contact. The best connection would be to solder it. For that we have the part #...

  • How To Install the Gustafson RV Sidewall Light Part # 277-000261
The Gustafson RV Sidewall Light part # 277-000261 is very easy to install. The mounting plate can be installed using standard wood screws as you mentioned. If you like, you can use anchors for added support but these won't really be needed, just make sure to attach the base to a secure surface. In regards to wiring, there is one black wire for power and then one white wire for ground. These wires will need to be run to the distribution panel so the light can receive power. If you are just...

Yes. There is no reason that you can't just use the upfitter switch in your Ford F-250 to connect the power of the Custom 3rd Brake Light Camera # 3460006 instead of installing a new switch. I've linked an installation video we did that you can use as a reference, as well.

It sounds like the Circuit board has failed on your MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent part # MA00-04000K the correct replacement for that is the Replacement Printed Circuit Board for MaxxAir Manual Lift RV Roof Vents part # MA10A21276K. This is a direct replacement and will plug directly into the plugs on your current vent. You will need to reconnect your power and ground using a couple of butt connectors like Butt Connector - PVC - for 16-14g Wire part # DW05714.

  • How To Install the Optronics Thinline LED Trailer Fender Light
The Optronics Thinline LED Trailer Fender Light part # MCL67ARB comes with a mounting bracket so as long as the surface you will be installing it on is metal then yes, it will work for you. All you would need to do to install the light is use two self tapping screws like part # 1131832 to mount the base and then once this is done you can attach the light to the base. To complete the process you will then need to attach the black wire to the running light circuit on your trailer which is...

  • Getting Trailer Wiring Harness 118416 to Work with a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Right-Hand Drive Model
For some reason the right-hand drive version of the 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited doesn't have the same tail light wiring as left-hand drive models. What you will have to do is plug in wiring harness # 118416 to one side or the other. On the side it is not plugged into use a circuit tester such as # 40376 to locate the wire that carries the turn signal and brake light function. Splice a wire into that wire on the vehicle using a quick splice connector such as # SWC501746-1 and wire # 16-1-1...

The Optronics LED Clearance or Side Marker Light w/ Reflex Reflector part # MCL31AB mounts by running two screws like part # 1131832 though the base. In order to access these screw holes you will need to remove the lens. I have attached a photo that shows the screw holes. I have also attached an install video for you as well. In order to make the wiring connections you will also need part # DW05714 and part # DW05737-1.

  • What is the Wire Gauge Used for the Dexter Predator Brake Controller for a 2008 Chevy Silverado
No problem, I'm happy to help. I went out to the warehouse with our little wire gauge measuring tool to measure the wires on the Dexter Predator # 58-8. They all came up as 14 gauge (btween 12 and 14 but closer to 14). So a butt connector such as # DW05714 would work for the installation.

  • Why Does This Come with 2 14 ga and 2 12 ga Connectors?
They send out a common connector kit with it and you're correct they don't match up. The wires on that plug are all 14 ga. If you're having troubles finding the connectors you can use Butt Connector - PVC - for 16-14g Wire - Qty. 1 part # DW05714. As an alternative you can simply use Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - Honda part # 3070-P. This will plug in directly to your Pilot and brake controller eliminating the need for any connections to be made at all.

  • How to Power an Interior Truck Cap Light on a 2002 GMC Sierra 4x4
You have a number of options to power an interior light on your truck bed cap. You could use the 12 volt power wire going to the trailer connector on your truck as a power source. I recommend installing a switch to turn the light on and off when needed, unless the light comes with a switch. Another option would be to run the wire from the cap light directly to the vehicle battery. Again, I recommend installing a switch if you do not already have one so the light does not stay on all...

What you will need to do is first remove the current taillights you have on your trailer. Remove any screws from the assembly and pull it out. Next you will need to cut the wires that ran from the old assembly. Try to note if you can what the functions of the wire are. • How to Install an Amber Turn and Parking Light on a Trailer with Combined Brake and Turn Signals

The converter will be wired inline on the trailer wiring and will break out the turn and brake circuits. • Recommended Wire Gauge Needed to Extend Vent Fan Power Wire to Charge Controller
To wire up your Ventline vent # VP-543SP the correct gauge wire needed is a 16 gauge like # DW02359-1. You will also want to use the 16 gauge buttconnectors like # DW05714 to connect the two wires. You definitely want this to be connected to a fused power source so if your charge controller isn't fused then on the 16 gauge wire you would want to wire in a 5amp fuse to protect the unit.
