Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at these MKS UX-D Ezy bike pedals. These are going to replace your existing Dahon folding bikes pedals, and these are a basic platform style, but these are going to be quicker and easier to remove than the standard pedals. So, these are going to allow you to take the pedals off, so your bike will take up even less space when folded. These do have the Ezy Rinko quick release connectors that will allow you to attach and remove the pedals in seconds without any tools. These pedals can be then been stored in a pocket when your bike is left unattended and they only weigh about 5.28 ounces each.
Each pedal is going to be approximately three and a half inches in length by two and three quarters of an inch wide. They do have the U-shape there that's going to help protect the body from damage due to crashes. So, if it we're to fall off your bike and that sort of thing, it's gonna help prevent it from getting too beat up. It does have a double sided step that will allow you to quickly grip without having to search for contact. It's got an anodized black alloy construction that is very strong and durable.
The reflectors are going to help improve your night visibility. The cup and cone bearings on each pedal are going to be more durable than your standard folding pedal bearings. There are also adapters that we sell separately that you can put on a second bike, so that you can easily swap your pedals between your two bikes and depending on which bike you're gonna take that day. So, you can get those adapters here at etrailer.com, if you're wanting to take advantage of that feature. The spindle thread is 9/16th's of an inch and you are going to need a 15 millimeter pedal spinner that's up to 3.2 millimeter thick to get these installed initially, but once you have them installed, it's going to be very simple to remove them.
You won't need any tools. You just pull on that rubber there and pull 'em out and then you'll be able to make sure that your Dahon bike is even more compact for you. So, that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
