Install your Curt electric trailer brake controller quickly and easily with this custom wiring adapter. Simply plug one end of the adapter into your brake controller and then plug the other end into the port in the center of your vehicle's dash.
Features:
To install your Curt electric brake controller, you need to connect the wiring of the controller to your vehicle. Certain auto manufacturers offer pre-wired options, typically known as tow packages, wherein wiring is run for you from the dash to the trailer connector on the back of your vehicle. When this is done, a port is installed at your dash so that you can easily plug in a brake controller.
This adapter plugs into the port on your vehicle's built-in brake control wiring harness, which is located behind the dashboard. To reach the connector, remove the storage pocket that is built into the center of your dash, just above the ashtray. Once you have removed the pocket, you will see the gray, 4-pin connector that mates with the adapter.
No hardwiring is required to install this adapter. After you plug it into the factory port, you simply plug the other end of the adapter directly into your electric trailer brake controller. Because there are no wires to connect, installation is not permanent. You can unplug and remove your brake controller at any time to transfer it to another vehicle or securely stow it away.

Today we're going to take a look at the Curt custom wiring adaptor for trailer brake controllers with the dual plug in, number C51372. This plug in wiring adaptor is meant for Ford Super Duty pickups, and it allows for quick, simple installation of your electric trailer brake controller. Thanks to the ends here, there is no cutting or splicing required. The custom connector, right here, fits into the built-in port beneath behind the dash of your vehicle, and the other end right here plugs into the back of your electric brake controller. This item is compatible with time delayed and proportional brake controllers from Curt. The brake controller must have a plug in for the adaptor to connect.
It will not work on controllers with pigtail wiring harnesses. This wiring adaptor is 2' long, features 12-gauge wiring, and has a protective covering, as you can see here, to help protect it from damage. It also comes with a limited 1-year warranty. Now we'll bring in our Curt brake controller. As you can see, this is the Reflex controller.
