Safety pins let you attach your tow bar to the brackets on your vehicle's bumper.The pins that connect my folding tow bars to the brackets on the towed vehicle base plates are easy to lose. My experience with non OEM alternatives has been very disappointing in heavy use. I am delighted that etrailer stocks the OEM type pins.
I have previously used this bracket set on another vehicle I own and wanted to equip ALL of my vehicles with these brackets - having these brackets installed on vehicles make them a one-person operation to move by towing.
