Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this CURT replacement head unit. This is going to replace the head assembly for your CURT MV round bar weight distribution system. This is gonna work for all those models that you see on the screen there. So if you are needing to replace that original head unit for your weight distribution system, your MV weight distribution system, this will do a great job. It's gonna fit right in place of the original, you're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that.
So your shank's gonna slide in here, be able to reuse that same hardware to get it bolted in place. It does not come with a hitch ball so you will need to provide that as well. So you've got your inch and a quarter diameter there for your hitch ball shanks, your round spring bars will slide into the bottom here, so have a nice solid connection. You can see, we've got the built-in grease zerks on the side. So just like the original, it's gonna do a great job for you, allowing you to level out your trailer, give you more stability, and control with your weight distribution system.

I wasn't sure I'd ordered the right part....a quick check in with etrailer in an email settled my anxiety....i could easily exchange my part, just pay the return shipping...that's all. My part came in about 6 days, it was the exact part I needed, I installed the parts and pieces from my old Head....and I'm back in business....probably saved myself several $100's of dollars because I couldn't find any hitch place here in my home town that would deal with me reputably and seach for the exact part I needed,...they all just wanted me to replace my whole hitch system. Too wide for the shank that I have, which is also a curt brand. Having to add spacers/washers to fill the gaps around the shank.

I needed to get my hitch repaired quick, and found etrailer.com to be both helpful and reasonably priced. I ordered during the holidays and still got it within 3 days. Thanks to etraielr.com I can go camping again,
this curt ball mount is replacing my old one seems a little lighter in weight but that's a good thing grease fittings on the sides for round bar are a plus very happy
my hitch got damaged in an accident, so I ordered a new replacement part from Etrailer.com for less than half what the trailer dealers wanted. works great
To be frank, I shopped around for better prices. And I found a very few. I placed orders with a couple to have them both fail to deliver and wasted my time waiting to hear that they couldn't deliver. Additionally, none of them had the range of stock of etrailer.com.
