Most often used on trucks with 6-foot and 6-1/2-foot beds, this roller helps to eliminate clearance problems during slow-speed turns. When you are towing a fifth-wheel trailer, your hitch must be situated on the cab side of your truck's rear axle. However, at slow speeds you can use a roller to slide the fifth-wheel hitch (and the trailer) toward your truck's tailgate and past the rear axle, creating enough space between the cab of your truck and the trailer to permit less-restricted turning.
The round-tube design of this slider allows for relatively uninhibited movement of your fifth-wheel hitch. Because your hitch can glide smoothly and easily along the rods, there is less chance of binding.
With straight, flat contact points, as found with square-tube sliders, tension can build between the slider and the hitch when your truck and trailer are somewhat out of line or are on uneven ground. As a result, it can be difficult to properly activate the slider when your truck and trailer are not in a straight line.
With a round-tube slider, there is more give between the contacting surfaces, allowing better mobility of the hitch system. Fewer corners means less tension buildup. Activating a round-tube slider is easier, and operation as a whole is smoother.

Fits truck beds between 6' and 8' in length.I have one complaint & it's not with ETRAILER, it's UPS, but I am sure I am not the only one. Box that roller hitch was delivered in was busted up pretty bad only has one piece that was slightly bent which was the cross brace that uses set screws to attached. Attached is picture of box with hitch. I was home & help UPS man unload, he said that's how truck was loaded when he got in truck. When installing and tightening screw it pulled brace back to being straight. Overall I am satisfied but hadn't hooked up to camper fifth wheel yet. Will hook up in next week to see how it works. I have hitch set at 19 inches above bed floor which should give 6 inches of clearance from bed rails to underneath RV . Regards Francis
.It works fine. When it’s attached to the main hitch, it’s so heavy, I need an engine hoist to get it into the truck
Love the Curt Hitch. Very sturdy, no noise, cracking like other models. Had a product for us to change to a slider when needed without purchasing a complete new fifth wheel.

I wanted to convert my fixed Q20 5th wheel hitch to a slider. I called to be sure I ordered the correct part. Rebecca was knowledgeable and helpful. The slider was ordered and arrived sooner than expected. The installation was easy. My 14 year old grandson installed it for me (with close supervision) and learned how to use a torque wrench. It works great! Very easy to operate.
Completed this by myself, but probably would not recommend this to another 76 year old unless he had help. Actually it went quite well, just took me longer.
2005 Dodge 2500
Both the e- trailer box and the Curt box was broken and there was no hardware or instructions. I called Gwen ext. 72961 and she said the hardware and instructions would be shipped out.
Product showed up with box that was trashed by UPS. Parts were missing. Etrailer shipped out missing parts with no problems. Product is installed and works great.

I ordered a slider base for my q20 fifth wheel hitch. Ordered it on Thursday morning and was at my house friday afternoon. Have found my new place for all my towing and trailer needs. Will definitely use again.

I just finished mounting the Reese R20 in my 2011 GMC Duamax as seen in the attached photo. I found the instructions and drawings to be very good. The installation was straight forward. This hitch replaced an older (1990) hitch which did not have side to side articulation. I am looking forward to the additional flexibility when unhitching and hitching on uneven ground. Thanks for the reference page, particularly the installation video. It was a pleasure doing business with etrailer.

The package arrived and was left on my door step without being able to inspect the package. It was found in terrible condition. It looked like it had been dropped off at 55 mph. The condition of the card board was old and easily fell apart. The hitch fell out of the box when I moved it. It appeared that the box had set on your shelf for sometime. Lots of plastic tape applied all over the box. Luckily the contents were all there and there didn't seem to any damage to the hitch. The foam protection was in pieces when the box fell open. It seemed to be old, and it crumbled when I removed it from what was left of the box. The paper work in the box said this hitch was a 30867 addendum. I ordered a RP30870. I didn't order a 30867. Are they comparable, or the same? If not you owe me a RP 30870. The other packages were in very good shape (slider, installation package).

The hitch was delivered exactly on time. It came in two boxes of considerable weight. Assembled without complication and it took just a little over an hour to put it together.
The instructions suggested to Insert the roll pin over a hard surface, I found it much easier following their suggestion.
The end result is that I now have a great looking, durable 5th wheel hitch.
I am very pleased with the entire process and I would be willing to do it again though I hope I never have to.
These guys are highly recommended.

Unit arrived as scheduled and the install was straight forward. This unit replaces a 10 year old Reese slider that was border line 16k and we decided it was time to upgrade to the 20k with the tubes slider. Look forward to trying out this summer.

I upgraded my RV to a 42 foot with 4 slides. I also needed to upgrade my hitch so I decided to try the Reese Titan. I can tell you that this is the best 5th Wheel Hitch I have ever used and I have had several different brands. This hitch has eliminated the normal jerking and metal clanking that comes with other 5th wheel hitches. I have used it for a year now and would recommend to anyone that has a 5th wheel trailer to get one, you will never use a regular one again. I know I won't .

I recently purchased a new to me GMC 2008 3500. It already had a 5th wheel hitch which made all kinds of noise and was a pain to hook up and unhook.
My earlier truck had a Reese 18K Signature hitch which I did like so I figured I would go back with a Reese hitch.
I ordered this hitch and as always it showed up in a few days from E trailer! It drop right in the rails in the bed. Very simple to use, no funny noises from the hitch. Connecting and I connecting could not be simpler.
It's the best fifth wheel hitch I have ever used!!

I bought this hitch and the 50140-58 custom rail kit for my 2009 Dodge 2500 Quad with a short bed. I had read several reviews that stated how "quiet" the hitch is because of the rubber isolation dampeners at the pivot points. I had also read how easy it is to "hookup". Yes and yes! While the R16 would have been plenty sufficient for my needs, the R20 includes the lube plate (form fitted to the fifth wheel) that is a $50 item that you must purchase extra for the R16. And, by specification, the R20 gives you 25% more capacity...for about $75. While the entire assembly is pretty heavy, it is very easily disassembled into three manageable pieces by removing three linchpins. We just completed a 6000 mile journey and did have one "problem"; the vibration isolators for fore and aft motion of the head (the fifth wheel) on the cross member (the blue piece) were not holding up even though my trailer's weight was 13K with a 2.5K pin weight...the yellow rubber material seemed too soft. Etrailer jumped right on it, when I contacted them. They put me in touch with Reese, who next-dayed the "orange" replacements (part #58516) to me along my route, at no cost, of course. When things go perfectly you will always be happy with a company and their products, but what they do in a "crisis" is what makes the difference. Etrailer and Reese are #1 in this regard!

Once the trailer is locked in this hitch is GREAT , But I have found it difficult to fully lock the handle together without rocking the truck back and forth. It is also difficult to unlock the handle when its time to unhook the from the trailer, further more once the handle has unlocked and has been pulled out, the handle tends to slide back into the hitch thus not releasing the trailer. I have to have someone hold the handle out as I pull my truck forward.

Unit has functioned adequately. Two problems with this unit. 1 - the green indicator did not have a spring installed when it arrived. I ordered a new indicator and on the seconday use with the new indicator the spring broke out. 2- the Greece nipple on the unit both fell out as if they were never threaded in. Pushed the nipple back in and have worked with them in this condition. I didn't notice the greas nipple issue until the second year when I first tried to grease the unit.
