Hey, everybody, welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby and today we're taking a look at Coghlan's tent peg set. Now these seven inch steel tent pegs are gonna be great to go ahead and start inserting the ground, giving yourself a really nice tie off point for a variety of different accessories. Now there's a lot of guys out there that huh, or a lot of accessories out there that need to be held on. Got a lot of wind that's going to be acting up. These are going to be nice to go ahead either just insert in your grommets, give yourself a nice little tie-down point for your ropes or anything like that.
Going to be really easy to use too. You can see how they're sharpened in here. I'm going to go ahead and give you guys a closer look here at these guys. So, you're going to have your nice little sharpened end here. That's going to make it really easy, of course, of penetrating through that soft and medium hold of earth that you're gonna be going into, obviously gonna have an issue with rocks, just like you normally have with any kind of tent pegs, but I could see these kind of conforming and moving a little bit easier and the needs there to kind of stick through.
One thing I like about them, they are steel, so I'm not actually able to move them, which is really nice because if you start comparing these to like aluminum tent pegs, those guys just bend really easy. And then when you go to stand on them, right, it kind of falls to the side and then you're not actually getting them impacting and they just kind of just don't do their jobs. So I like how these are going to stay rigid. They're going to stay in their shape. However, I don't think they're stainless.
They are just steel. So I could see these corroding maybe a little bit more than the aluminum, but I think really if we're just taking these out, putting a little bit oil grease on them, going to make sure we're cutting down that corrosion. of course just clean them off on the end too, just take a paper towel or something, get all that debris off of it and then storing them somewhere nice, safe, and dry with your tents, you know, or wherever where any other accessories you have it with. Going to just make these guys the last for the years to come. Now you're going to get a set of four with these guys, which is going to be great.
And a lot of times that's all you need for your corners, right They'll great for even kind of your, your tents or gazebo set ups, anything like that. And I do like these guys. So my big thing with them, I'm liking how they're solid and sturdy. I can't bend them with my hands, which is great. And even if I work with my weight on these, I think they'll hold up well. And because of that nice sharpened state, they'll penetrate through the ground and give us a nice little hold there. So they are going to be seven inches long in totality. You guys that I, that quick look here. So you guys can see it is going to be about seven inches right there. However, let's go ahead and actually look at where we're going to be meeting up to the ground. That's going to put you right at about six inches, so where you're leaving that hookup, right Cause we're still going to have a little bit of room to actually go ahead and hook onto that hook at the top. So just to give you guys that idea, that's six inches inside the ground. That's a pretty decent hold. Of course you'll need that necessary actual length to go ahead and actually have these guys run all the way through. So if you find yourself in a little bit of a rocky area, can always be an issue, but that's just something you run into with any kind of tent stakes out there. Well, guys this will be a great way of just securing down your accessories. Nothing too crazy to them. I liked that they're steel, but let's just go ahead and keep in mind that we might have to give them just a little bit more maintenance, especially to compare them to the aluminum pegs here available at etrailer.com. However, if you really are finding yourself just a little bit of small rocks and pebbles in the way, I think these are gonna be nicer. It can be really easy to take a mallet or a foot and drive these in there and not actually ended up bending them. Well, guys, I think that that about does it for our look at the Coghlan's tent peg steel seven inch tent pegs here at etrailer.com. I'm Bobby. Thank you for watching..
