There are only two small pieces of velcro on the sides that open. One in the middle and one at the bottom. This leaves the majority of the cover open on two corners where dirt and debris are free to blow in. I got the cover to keep the generator clean. I sewed the sides shut and kept the cover, rather than return it. The fabric and stitching seem to be of good quality. Time will tell.159087

After a year, not to happy, it is a pain to put on and take off, you have to open the velcro to access the handles, and when your are done it has to be put back on exactly to match up the handles with the opening, and it does not enclosed the entire gen,why dont the make it so it just slips over the entire generator in one shot? i should have brought it back and got my money back to late now and bought a regular grill cover that just fits over the entire thing plus they are much stronger than this one, would not recommend this.P.S. can you send me a different HEAVER COVER TO REPLACE THIS ONE, THANKS,

We currently own the 4,500-Watt Portable RV Generator - 3,600 Running Watts - Propane or Gas - Electric Start (Item # 333-0005) for our travel trailer. With Hurricane Laura passing through Louisiana it really put this generator to this test. It passed with flying colors both running my travel trailer and one appliance in the house, To take a lot of the load off of this one, I ordered this model, 4,500-Watt Portable Generator - 3,600 Running Watts - Gas - Remote Start Item #333-0004. We received the item yesterday afternoon via UPS. Assembly was great and instructions were easy to understand. Fueled and oiled it up, and tried all three options (remote, push start, pull cord) to start it with little or no hesitation. The easy choke is a nice feature, by pushing it to start and it automatically adjust. There is another nice feature having an onboard bottle opener on the back. I have two Briggs and Stratton P2200 PowerSmart Inverter Generators that I store on the back porch during hurricane season. Because they are open to the elements I covered them with trash bags - not a pretty sight. I found a cover that I thought would fit although it was not specific in its description, however, I decided to give it a try. The cover was reasonably priced (under $20.00) with very reasonable shipping cost. The cover arrived in a few days and it fits the generator perfectly. I just ordered a second cover for my other generator. It's well constructed of fairly heavy gauge plastic with at drawstring on the bottom to make sure it stays in place. ETrailer is great to deal with - reasonable prices and shipping and an easy site to order from.

The cover is heavy duty and appears that it will outlast the one that I bought from Champion. The only issue is the drawstring does not prevent the cover from being able to blow off. I will solve by putting a ratchet strap around the unit to hold the cover on1142228
