Have you ever hooked up your 3,000 to 5,500-watt inverter generator and it just wasn't enough to power both your 15,000 Btu RV air conditioners and other must-have appliances too? If only you had the power of 2 generators without having to lug around a big, heavy 10,000-watt generator. This 50-amp parallel kit offers you the luxury of combining 2 Champion 3,000 to 5,500-watt inverter generators (sold separately) to increase your power when you need it most.
The parallel kit provides a convenient 50-amp 14-50R outlet to provide 50-amps of power directly to your RV and a 30-amp L5-30R twist lock outlet to power large household appliances and tools. The included 30 and 50-amp circuit breakers in each outlet protect connected equipment from overloading.

What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out the Champions Generator Paralink, it's gonna be used to link two generators together so you can use both of their power. Now it's gonna work with generators from a stunning wide range of 3000 all the way up to 5,500. Let's check it out. Now before we get too far into the Paralink let's explain why it's a good idea to have that. So you're gonna need more power to run a rig like it's behind me.
It's got three air conditioning on there so one generator's just not gonna be enough. You can get an open frame one. Those are gonna be really loud, heavy, and bulky. Now with this system you can take two smaller generators and get that kind of power. Plus you also are using inverted generators so they're gonna be a lot quieter out there where you're camping, so you don't have to worry about the noise levels so much.
And they're gonna be easier to the store because they're smaller than that big open frame one. So it's gonna be easier to find a place where these go. And when you're not using it to run your camper or RV you will have two different generators you can use. Looking at the Paralink here we're gonna have the third amp plug for your household plugins. And we have the 50 amp plug as well.
And we gonna have fuses here, switches you can throw. So if it does trip up something you can just flip the switch and it's good to go. On the back side we have two clips so you can clip it onto the handle of the generator but it also helps keep some of the cords all together. Each one of 'em is gonna have a ground to attach to the generator, a positive and a negative, that you can plug on each generator. Take a look at the cord itself.
It does have a nice sheath around it so it is protected. It's a little bit bulky, so I like that, that it's not gonna be some wire you're gonna worry about ripping or tearing or catching on something. They do seem like they're gonna hold up with all that reinforcement. Now let's go and hook it up to the generators. It's gonna be really easy. We got the positive and negative cables. We'll take the caps off of there, go here on the generator, pull the covers off, plug them into place. And we'll also attach our ground. Now we're gonna do the same thing for our other generator. Look at the backside. You have the clamps where we're supposed to be able to clamp it here on this handle but the box itself is too big for that opening. Now you wouldn't wanna just rest it on top of the generator cause it would vibrate around when you fire up the generator. So it will clip to handles out here. So just push on it, open it up, clip it on there. Now I will warn you once you start to put plugs on here, it will weigh it down but it's far better than it just sitting on the ground or vibrating here on top of the generator. Another nice thing with combining the both power from the generators and in our Paralink is it has a 50 amp plug. So now we can plug in our fifth wheel toy hauler. It's got three air conditioners and put it to the test. Now it's time to test out the generators. So we have the Paralink hookup. We're gonna fire them up and then plug in our rig here. It's got three air conditioners. We're gonna see if you can run all three of them. We have our bedroom AC. We're gonna turn that on. We're back here in the garage. We're gonna turn on the third AC. Start it there. We have all three AC's running. The generators are only at 50% capacity so there is still more power for the microwave or the refrigerator. They didn't die when we fired up, so that's awesome. Now they're not that loud either. I've done the open frame generator that was way louder when sat next to it. You can really hear me when I was talking. I can still have a conversation with cameraman Tom, just fine with these running. It does get quieter as you walk away we're not gonna be hanging out by the generators anyway. When you have 'em set up, you'll be more likely over here and just rounding the corner and having the rig block it. It's so much more quiet. I can't even really hear it in the background. Like I know it's there, but it's not too bad. Well, overall, it did exceed my expectations. Having two inverter generators was far more quiet than one open frame one. We ran all through air conditioners. It was just fine and it was only at 50% power. So I know I could run the refrigerator, the microwave some other things too and not have to worry about anything when I'm out camping. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out. I hope this helped..
