Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the CargoBuckle Ladder Rack Straps for the one inch to two inch round or square bar ladder rack tubing, and it is for a quantity of two straps. Now, these are heavy-duty ratchet straps that'll attach to your ladder rack and let's you easily secure the cargo to your ladder rack. Basically, to operate them, all you do is pull the lever here to release the strap. You can see this lever says release. Pull down on it, move your hand all the way up to the top, locks in position, and then that allows you to take out as much strap as you need.
Take out your strap, and then what you'll do is wrap it around your ladder. And then on this end, you see it has the double J-hooks, you'll hook this to the bottom of the bracket right here. So you hook that in place with that around your ladder. And then what you can do is move the handle into the ratchet position like that, and then what you'll do is just crank your handle. And as you're doing that, it'll pull this strap tightly around your ladder.
And then once you get it as tight as you need it, then all you do is move this into the lower position all the way, and that locks it and keeps it secured. We mentioned it's a push-button release right here and it's a self-retracting design, so it does allow for easy rapid loading and unloading. Basically, the unused portion of the strap retracts into the housing, gives you minimal ratcheting and convenient storage. And again, when you're ready to unhook it, all you have to do is unhook the strap. And if you just push on the release, you can see that it'll release the strap all the way back.
That's all you have to do and you're all ready to go. The handle on this if you noticed, it is a nice SUR-Grip rubber-coated handle, makes it very easy to grip and control with just one hand. Does use the dual safety locks to ensure that the ratchet arm stays in the open or the closed position. And it is a durable construction, offers long-lasting performance. You can see that it has a corrosion resistant steel body.
The material for the webbing is a seatbelt quality polyester webbing. Does have a sturdy plastic housing on it, and it uses a stainless steel spring. This is crash tested to ensure that your cargo stays in place. Now, as we mentioned, it is designed to permanently mount to your ladder rack with the included bracket you can see right here and all the hardware that's included. We mentioned it is designed to fit the one inch, the 1 1/2 inch, or the two inch round or square tubing ladder racks. And this is for a quantity of two ladder rack straps. Now, the strap itself, if we release it, just to show you, put it all the way up, you can see it is one inch wide. And if you pull it all the way out as far as we go, it'll be five feet in length. Maximum load strength on that strap, the brake strength is 1,400 pounds. The safe working load limit with what you wanna go by is 466 pounds. One note I do wanna mention is tie-down straps must be chosen according to that safe working load limit. Basically, the weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the straps that are being used. So for example, if you're using straps that have a working load limit of 500 pounds each and you're tying down a load to weighs 1,000 pounds, then you're gonna need at least two straps to safely secure that load. And it is usually recommended to always use straps in pairs. But that's gonna do it for the review on the CargoBuckle Ladder Rack Straps for one inch to two inch round or square bar ladder rack tubing.
