Our Olympian heaters are designed and built to provide years of comfortable radiant heat and economical LP gas consumption. Not only are our heaters efficient but they are safe, as well. Because of the integrated double platinum catalytic heating system, no harmful amounts of waste gases are produced. Most heaters are equipped with low-quality materials, which obstruct oxygen flow. This can lead to gas being released without burning, resulting in serious health hazards. The Olympian catalytic heating element features a low-density, spongy texture which allows for perfect transport of the oxygen needed for combustion.
The catalytic heating element is evenly impregnated with platinum. These added safety features ensure proper elimination of the mix of dangerous gas emissions. Olympian heaters produce radiant heat as a result of the catalytic combustion process. Like the sun, Olympian heaters radiate heat directly to people, floors, walls and other objects without heating the air first, so warmth is felt immediately. Radiant heat is absorbed by objects and then emitted into the air and heat the surrounding area. Therefore, your Olympian heater should be oriented to direct its warming rays toward the space to be heated, much like a flood light is positioned to illuminate a desired area. If installing in the interior of your RV or boat's cabin, it is recommended to have a certified technician handle the installation.
This will ensure the installation meets local codes. Please read all directions and warnings in your instruction manual. Keep it in a safe place for future reference. When choosing a location to install, be sure that the heater is located out of traffic and away from furniture and draperies. To assure complete combustion, it is necessary for the room to have an adequate fresh air supply.
Turn heat control knob to Start Off position. Make sure gas supply is turned on and gas is available at the heater. Depress control knob firmly for 10 seconds. This will allow gas to flow into the gas lines, removing any air. You should hear gas flowing to the heater pad.
While continuing to hold the control knob in, press Piezo Sparker button 1 or more times until gas flame spreader is lit. The flame spreader should now be on. If not, repeat pressing Piezo Sparker button until flame spreader is lit. After initial ignition occurs, keep control knob depressed for 45- 60 seconds maximum. Release the control knob, push knob in slightly, and immediately turn it to high heat setting. The initial small blue flames should become extinguished and the catalytic combustion process is now taking place. If catalytic pad ignition fails to start up, wait 5 minutes and try again. Allow the heater to operate on high for 10 minutes to assure even heating of the catalyst pad. You may now set to Low or Medium. To turn the heater off, turn the control knob to the Off position. It is recommended that the heater be kept covered at all times when not in use. Custom made dust covers are available from the factory or your local dealer. .

This dust cover fits over your Olympian Wave 8 catalytic heater (CAM57351 - sold separately) when the heater is not mounted. Protects from dust and dirt.Dust greatly shortens the life of the Wave 8 catalytic heater (a great heater). It needs to be stored with a dust cover. etrailer had them in stock, they fit, rapid shipping and not very expensive. If you have a Wave 8 you need one of these.
Delivered in timely manner and custom fit was excellent and i appreciate the follow up thank you
High-quality cover. For long term storage, I will also place the heater with the cover in place in an air-tight bag that will cover the bottom of the unit.
was very quick service and delivery cover looks well made and should last long time, thanks for the quick service and shipping
I have both the slip over cover and the one with bungee on the back to hold it over a wall mounted heater. Currently use the bungee one most Because the heater Is wall mounted in the camper. Both are high quality and very durable providing good protection for the heater. They are a must to keep dust out of it.
Nice and long dust cover
Fits my wave 8 super great, would recommend over a trash bag lol
How I installed an Olympian Wave 6 catalytic heater in a 20yr old Class C that I have been refurbishing.
Installation bits:
1x12x48 pine board (base for heater)
4 #8 2" wood screws (board mounting)
4 1/2" nylon stand offs (board mounting)
4 #8 1" wood screws (heater hangers)
4 conical hot water faucet washers (htr hngr)
3/8" brass T fitting (splice for propane input)
3/8" pipe thread to flare elbow (for T outlet)
6' 3/8" propane hose female flare both ends
3/8" male to female flare elbow (to heater)
1/2" Teflon thread tape for propane
1" diameter desk grommet for hose
Cut pine board to size 1x12x17". Use supplied template to mark Wave 6 mounting locations. Stain board black. Install 1" screws and conical washers to board. (The washers make heater removal and reinstall much smoother.) Remove vent cover in front of furnace opening. Drill holes for mounting board in front of furnace opening. Drill 1" hole for propane hose access to the heater. Verify propane tank valve is closed. Apply Teflon tape to all male threads. Remove a 1" section from the 3/8" propane supply line to the furnace. Attach one end of the hose to the T fitting. Attach the compression T fitting to the propane supply line. Route the hose through the drilled hole and slip on the grommet. Reinstall the furnace area vent. Install the mounting board. Install the flare elbow onto the heater's input. Hang the heater. Verify the heater control knob is in the "start/off" position. Attach the propane hose to the flare elbow. Open the propane tank valve. Verify that there are no propane leaks. Test heater operation. Verify that the furnace operates as well as always. Now when boondocking, we have warmth without 12v power consumption.

Hello Carol C. Yes, I've received my purchase of a Camco Custom-Fit Dust Cover for Olympian Wave 3 Catalytic Heater- Portable. I'm pleased! Thank you very much.
Arrived via UPS. External packaging A-OK. This heater cover was packed in the same box as a very heavy receiver adapter I ordered. The retail box/cover packaging did not fair well, as the heavier item bullied and beat it up harshly. BUT, the cover survived, with no damage. Thus the 4 stars. Otherwise, all is good.
Poor communication. Only one email confirming purchase, that’s all
Fits great fast delivery
This cover fits our heater perfectly and provides the protection needed to keep the heater clean and in good working condition.
Product as advertised.
Had postal problems on my end. Anthony at etrailer help get things straightend out. Excellent company to do business with.
Product good, service Great!
I cannot tell you how impressed I am with etrailer. Their shipping speed is phenomenal as are their communications. This product is high quality, but it could be just a little larger for the wave 3 wall mounted heater. It works, but you really have to stretch the Velcro for it to connect around the gas connection to the heater. I am worried the Velcro will tear eventually, but again, it does work.
