Today we'll be taking a look at the Camco Sunshield Shade for RV Roof Vents, part number CAM45191. This indoor shade will help insulate your RV's roof vent to increase heating and cooling efficiency. The sunshield reflective surface locks 100% of the sun's damaging UV rays helping to keep your RV interior cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. This mounts securely and directly to your ceiling with the hook-and-loop strips that we'll have to install. To get ready for the installation one of the first things we need to do is install our hook-and-loop strips. We'll flip this over to the back side.
We'll remove the adhesive backing from each strip and we'll place it around the outside of our sunshield. Now, you can choose where to place these. There's eight of them so we're going to do one on each corner and then one in the middle of each edge of the sunshield. In a regular situation you would peal the adhesive backing off of this and this is the part that you'd attach to your roof. For today's demonstration we went ahead and put on some double sided tape that we'll be using. To ensure that we have a correct fit we're going to attach our hook-and-loop strips together and then we'll remove the double sided tape and then stick it to our roof.
This is just to ensure that we have our hook-and-loop strips positioned correctly because sometimes with adhesive you only get one opportunity to get it in the right place. We'll go ahead and replace our home made vent cover and install our new sunshield from Camco. With the convenience of the hook-and-loop strips we'll be able to detach and attach our sunshield if necessary depending on what time of the day you're using it. Just remember when using adhesive you need to let it properly set before you attempt to remove. That will complete today's review of the Camco Sunshield Shade for RV Roof Vents, part number CAM45191.

Price was reasonable and the item was exactly what I wanted. Works good keeping the heat out, and like the Velcro so I can removed it during the winter.
Shipped on time. Arrived well packaged. Instructions were a little strange but who needs them to apply velcro strips. Excellent service.

We’ve been using this sunscreen for a year — our Class A carport faces west and with the heat of the Alabama summers, we needed something that could reflect the sun, lower the inside temperatures, and reduce sun damage to the interior. It works great! We easily trimmed it with scissors for a good fit. We didn’t use the velcro, just pull our curtains shut behind it. Easy to remove and roll up, we store it behind our sofa when traveling.
Sunscreen arrived quick and is doing is job keeping the inside of my Class A cool!
