Today, we're going to be taking a look at the CURT threaded of quick link. This sturdy link is going to provide a quick link for chains, cables, ropes or straps. It's going to feature the threaded keeper right here. It simply just screws shut and open. It does not require any additional tools. If you would like to use a wrench to tighten or loosen, a 9/16 inch wrench would work or a 14 millimeter would work as well. The units made from a steal construction.
It's going to have a zinc coding which is going to do a great job at resisting rusting corrosion. The working load limit is printed right here directly on the link. It's going to say 1,760 pounds. The diameter is also printed on there. It's going to have a diameter of 5/16 of an inch.
Take a look at the opening that we have with that barrel all the way in the open position. That's going to measure right on 3/8 of an inch. I took an internal measurement of the overall length so just measuring that opening there. I got a measurement of about 2 5/16 of an inch. Going this direction, measuring the opening just below that barrel, I got a measurement of about 11/16 of an inch. If we measure right up close to that barrel, I'd say safely, you're going to have about a half an inch.
When it comes to the external measurements, so from outer edge to outer edge, basically the over all length we're looking at about 2 15/16 of an inch. Almost right at 3 inches. To the outside of that barrel portion, we're going to have pretty close to an inch and a half. That's going to do it for today's look at the CURT threaded quick link.
