Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the replacement shank for your Curt adjustable pintle and clevis hook ball mount. So this is gonna be essential for this specific setup. So if you're grabbing this, you wanna grab the shank as well. The shank can be for your two inch hitch receiver, made of steel, and it's gonna have a nice powder-coated finish. One thing you're gonna have to buy is a pin and clip. It has a diameter of 5/8 of an inch.
And one thing that I recommend getting is this anti-rattle. The nice thing about this is we're not gonna hear any of the rattling and stuff. So now it's one with our hitch receiver, so it's gonna be a little bit smoother of a ride. I just like doing that. I'd mow a lot, and whenever I had the windows rolled down, hearing all of that movement is just kind of excessive.
We're gonna have a little bit of movement right here, but it just limits it to just this making noise, instead of the whole system. It's just gonna prolong the life of the shank and our ball mount. This is what comes in the box. We're gonna have six different holes down here, and let's go ahead and take some measurements. So from the center of the hitch pin hole to where these holes start, about 8 inches or so, and then all the way to the end, it's about 9 1/4 inches.
When it comes to this, we can either have it in this position or we can have a rise. So with this, we're gonna have two different accessories we can put on there. We can grab this one for your clevis, pintle hook and two different sized balls, but there's also another accessory as well. So depending on what kind of trailers you plan on hauling, you can grab one of those two. And with this, all these holes are gonna be about an inch and 1/4 from center to center.
And with this, if we put it all the way down, it's gonna give us a max drop of about five inches. And then if we flip it back up, it's gonna give us a max rise of six inches. And of course we can deviate between those two maxes and get the trailer nice and level. All in all, it's a pretty simple thing. It just really gives you the opportunity to have a lot of adjustments and have two different attachments to fit with a lot of different trailers. So I really like that, I like to be prepared for everything 'cause I never know what I'm hauling. And with this, we're gonna have all the adjustments we need to get it nice and level, even if the tow vehicle changes. So I like that a lot. It's gonna be a great choice for you. And again, this was the Curt replacement shank for your pintle hook, clevis, and your adjustable ball mount..

Replaces the adjustable shank for your Curt adjustable tri-ball mount (D900) or Curt adjustable clevis and pintle hook combo (C45008).Frankly, Etrailer was my 3rd choice supplier. But I wasted time with two other suppliers who could not deliver. Etrailer delivered at a solid price and with record-time shipping. Thank you!
