Mounting the Step
Mounting the fender step is easy. To mount the step to your trailer's frame, use the mounting slots on top (2-15/16" long x 9/16" wide). Just attach the step with a 9/16" or 1/2" diameter U-bolt (sold separately). The slots allow for U-bolts of varying sizes so that you can use this step on a trailer with a narrow frame or a wide frame.
The mounting slots on the side (1-1/2" long x 7/16" wide) are for mounting the step to your fender. When mounting to the fender, drilling will be required and hardware is not included. The 9/16" hole in the side of the step allows you to run wiring for your trailer tail light, if you choose to keep it near the frame of the trailer.
Galvanized Steel
Galvanized steel parts are hot-dipped in zinc after being stamped. This creates a coating that is typically 3 mil to 5 mil thick. This thick, all-around coating allows galvanized steel products to provide years of use without rusting or corroding.

The holes designed for the square bolts attachment to trailer frames are pretty generic, so will work with lots of frame sizes. My frame is 3.5" x 1.5" so they extend a little bit inside, but ok. I was able to drill holes for fender mounting bolts on the other side easily enough. They are barely wide enough for two bolts, so I had to be very careful to make it work. Photos are after a week driving in Northern Michigan, so sorry about the dust.

Did the trick! I had to drill new holes to mount the fender but it worked great on my old magliner trailer.

Perfect design for fender mounting. Solid, sturdy and good galvanized finish.
I bought 4 of these to support a 1' x 3' platform alongside the tongue of my boat trailer. Needed to buy 1/2" x 3 1/16" x 6 5/16" square u bolts made by Seachoice to anchor to my 3 x5 trailer tongue. Really worked great as I can stand on the platform and winch boat onto trailer and stay dry.
I ordered the part and it showed up.

The tires where shipped as the shipment date stated and was package well with no damage. On the other hand the fender was a little bigger than the original one that came with the boat and the foot plate is not as wide as the original. Over all the product was ship on time and work fine .
The product is outstanding. It is by far better than the 0ne that came on the trailer.
Haven't installed yet but looks like it will fit my needs. Good quality for the price. Note that the sides are angled inward and not a right angle to the top portion of the plate. That won't affect my install but it wasn't obvious to me when I looked at this online.
Order was shipped earlier. Everything was in great condition when I installed my fenders it all bolted right up perfect fit.
