What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out this replacement side wider handle from Buyer's Products. We're putting it on our BigTex Gooseneck trailer. Let's check it out. It's gonna be a good replacement for if your handle's already rusted out on your trailer or it's just not working right anymore. You can easily just remove these bolts and add a new side winder handle to make it work like new again.

Today we added it to the jack stands on the front of this gooseneck trailer you see already had the extended arm out there. That's something to be aware of 'cause the handle just goes from here to here. It's about 14 and a half inches in diameter. So the reason why this is extended out is so we can still turn it and not run into the trailer. This is also gonna come with a holder for that handle is what you'll weld into your trailer.

The trailer, our BigTex one today, already has one weld in place so we're just gonna use that. So you bring the handle out. That's why you don't overtighten this portion. So you can fold it up and it goes in the catch. It's also made out of a black powder coat steel, so it's not gonna rust or corrode on ya.

Looking at the grip, it will rotate independently. So when you go to grab it and rotate the whole handle, it moves with you. It's not like you're just grabbing this here and you have to adjust your grip as you turn the handle. Installing, it's really easy. We're just gonna put it over the extension arm and put it in place.

We'll run our bolt with a washer on this end and a washer nut on the opposite end. Now you can use the existing hardware for your old handle if you'd rather, but it does come with its own hardware, and come back with a wrench and a ratchet and tighten it down. (wrench ratcheting) When it comes to tightening it down you definitely don't wanna overtighten it, 'cause you still want it to be loose enough to remove the handle and put it in the cache. Overall, I think it's gonna be a good replacement handle for your trailer, especially the heavy duty square jack here. It's gonna make it operating it far easier now that the handle works properly.
