Ellen: Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the license plate bracket for your Hawse Fairlead on your bulldog winch. This is a good way to get that license plate attached so you can stay within compliance of all local laws and Federal laws, all those DOT important regulations. A lot of times, whenever you have a winch mounted on the front of your vehicle, it can cover up that license plate. So, this is an easy way to attach it and still be within compliance. So, you can see it's going to be just a nice steel bracket with a powder coat.
It's also e-coated as well, so it's going to stay looking nice for a long time. Keep any rust or corrosion to a minimum. This is going to work with Hawse Fairleads that are 10 inches apart, as far as those attachment points there. So, you can utilize the hardware that comes with that fairlead and that 10 inches goes from center of the attachment holes here to the same spot on the other side. And then it should match up with your typical license plate. You can mount this above or below your winch, so it just depends on your application.
Maybe even put the license plate behind it, if you think that looks a little bit nicer or, again, flip it up the other way and mount it like that. So, you've got some options as far as how to mount that license plate on there. As far as the overall size, outside edge of each side of the bracket is about 11 and three quarter inches long, put that up so you can see that there. Overall, it's about three and seven eighths inches tall, so just shy of four inches. And this bottom portion here, looks like it's about one and three eighths inches thick. And the metal itself is about an eighth of an inch.
Installation hardware for this is not included, but you should be able to reuse the hardware on your fairlead and on your license plate to work with this. Might need to get a nut for at the back of that license plate, that would probably be the only hardware you'd have to get, in addition to this. That's pretty much all there is to it for this license plate. I hope this has been a helpful video in deciding if this is the right piece for you. Again, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com.
Thanks for watching.
