Video Transcript for An In-Depth Look at the Bulldog Winch Pulley Block

Today we're going to be taking a look at part number BDW20028. This is the Bulldog pulley block. The pulley blocks are going to increase your wenches pull and power, plus it's going to allow you to change the direction of pull without damaging your rope. Now the pulley block is going to have cast iron housing with a nice red powder coat finish. The shackle is going to made of forged alloy steel construction. It's going to feature the easy opening pin.

I just want to show you that real quick. It's going to be this design right here. With it in the down position the pin is not going to disengage. With it in the up position you can push the pin out. Actually remove it.

That way you can open up the mechanism and easily attach your rope. That's a great advantage to have. Makes it very easy to get the rope attached on there. When you have that secured, all you have to do is place that in the pin and then push back over the end there to make sure the pin doesn't disengage from the housing. It's going to feature a machined, steel, 6-inch diameter wheel. It's going to have bearings so it's going to easily turn and roll when it has some weight or pressure applied to it.

The internal bearigns are great. They're already going to be greased. It's already got the grease in there, but it's also going to feature a grease fitting here on this side. That way you can easily maintenance the pulley block. You can get in there and grease the axle whenever needed. This is going to offer a brake strength of 30,000 pounds with a working lobeman 00:02:00 of 12,000 pounds.
