Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer, today we're gonna be checking out the replacement Flex-Coil adapter for the Brake Buddy Supplemental braking systems. This cable is gonna be a direct replacement to the one that comes with the Brake Buddy Stealth Supplemental Braking System. And with this being a proprietary type cable, you know if the original one you had gets damaged or lost or anything like that, you're pretty much dead in the water. Your braking system is not gonna work and you can't really make do with other cables without changing a lot of stuff because it uses the special conductor plug that this will work with. So, you know, it's just one of those things if the cable, your original one, you know maybe it comes unplugged and it drags on the ground or you know you lose it or whatever the case may be. When that happens, you know you can pick this up and still be able to have a functioning breaking system essentially.
So just like the original one this is gonna plug into that special connector there. Like that Other end is the seven way, goes into the motor home. You know, one of the big killers of cables like this is corrosion. So I do suggest getting some dielectric grease, you know putting it on the terminals on both ends from time to time. That'll help just kind of prolong the life of it.
If some moisture or anything like that does find its way inside of the connector. But other than that, I mean really really no different than the original one. Same length, same style and everything in between. So whether you're, you know, you have one that's damaged already or lost and you're trying to get back on the road, or maybe you're like me and you just want to have a backup knowing that this is a special one and you can't just run into town and grab it, might not be a bad idea to keep an extra one of these on hand just in case, you know just in case you don't wanna get stuck. Right.
But with that said, I think that'll about finish up our look at of the brake Buddy Flex-coil replacement cable for the supplemental braking system.

This was a direct replacement for the original cord. Works great
etrailer gives pretty good service but this Brake Buddy flex-coil adapter is a piece of junk! The original disintegrated the first time I used it. I live in Arizona and that adapter can't take the heat. The cover shredded and it wasn't even in the sun. Unfortunately, it's the only thing that fits. So another $xx down the drain. Also, they shipped UPS which handed of to the US Post office which took an additional 2 days to deliver.
