Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the Bauer products replacement edge cover plate. This is going to replace a worn out or damaged edge cover plate on your RV's door lock. This is going to work with the Bauer products, RV door locks, BP-7, BP-8D BP-8RV and NE series locks. This is a direct replacement from Bauer.

So you can trust it's going to work for your application. It's going to fit right onto that lock on your door and provide that plate to align with the strike plate on the door frame so that everything aligns correctly and will work the way it's supposed to. Like I said, this is a direct replacement from Bauer, so you're not going to have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that.But you can see there this is right at three inches long by right about one inch wide. Our two mounting holes here are spaced at about one and seven-eighths of an inch center to center. Well, I'm going to take that back.

Yeah, so it's probably about one and 13 sixteenths of an inch, but you probably won't have to worry much about that. If you already have the Bauer door lock, this is going to work for you.This is a zinc plated steel construction. So it's going to hold up well, resist corrosion. Should last you a nice long time, allow you to operate your new door lock once again. So that's going to complete our look for today.
