Weld-On Mounting Bracket and Hardware for Atwood Snap Ring Swivel Trailer Jacks

I recently bought a utility trailer with a center post type trailer jack. I was irritated by the fact that I was not able to drop my tailgate on either of my trucks while using that trailer. Since the trailer was only being used for a lawn tractor I decided to mount a swivel type trailer jack to the "A" frame of the trailer tongue (which I already had ). I don't like the bolt-on frame type bracket that comes with the jack and since I weld often I decided to buy a weld-on swivel type mounting bracket (I've had several boat trailers that had a bolt-on swivel type bracket and I decided to change them to a weld-on type mounting bracket). I was not able to find one locally so I searched on line and found that "etrailer" had one in stock for a reasonable price with standard freight. I ordered the bracket on around 3:00pm on Monday and received it the next morning. I welded the bracket on the trailer that same day, removed the center post type trailer jack and am really pleased with the ease of operation of the swivel type jack stand. I can now raise and lower my tailgate on either truck or leave my tailgate down while towing my utility trailer.569271

One suggestion, use shrink wrap in stead of packing tape to fasten the snap ring to the plate. I have some that is 2" wide, works great. Tape is a pain to remove.524563
