THIS IS A WASTE OF MONEY. I didn't realize it completely overrides the functionality of the basic system. If you install this, the door sensors no longer work and you have to manually press a button every time you want these to deploy and retract. It's still sitting on a shelf in my garage, waiting to be thrown in the garbage.

Instead you need part # AA3025170 for the Jeep. I've also linked a video on the running boards for you. Additionally, if you ever remove the doors from your Jeep you can install part # AA3020000 to manually operate the running boards.
