Hi, I'm Scott with etrailer, and today, we're gonna be going over our winch plate for our Aries TrailChaser bumper system. The winch plate that we have here today for our Aries TrailChaser bumper is gonna reinforce our bumper, and it's also gonna give us a solid mounting point for a winch to attach. This is something that I would recommend, if you're getting the Aries bumper, that you get while you're doing it if you eventually want to get a winch for your Jeep. What it's gonna do is it's gonna go on underneath your bumper before your bumper goes on. It's gonna mount on between your frame rails here. So when you install your bumper, your bumper's gonna go on and it's gonna line up with these holes.

And then when you put a winch on top of that, what that's gonna do is everything's gonna line up and you're gonna have a solid base. The Aries bumper is made of aluminum, so I don't really recommend bolting a winch directly to that because it's not gonna have the strength to hold up to the pull power of your winch. So this is gonna give you the option of adding a winch down the road and it's really a good idea to do it before you install your bumper. So if you like the look of the Aries TrailChaser bumper and eventually, you want to get a winch down the road, I'd probably recommend picking one of these up.
