Low air pressure is the chief reason for air spring failure. To avoid this, you have to either regularly monitor your air springs or find a device that will do it for you. Air Lift's Load Controller II air control system for light-to-medium-duty vehicles does just that. If the air pressure in your air springs falls below the minimum level, the system's low-pressure sensor detects the decrease in air pressure. Then the system activates automatically to adjust air pressure as needed.

Load Controller II has virtually vibration-free operation and is made to help support your air springs as they take on weighty loads. The single-path controller lets you adjust one pair of air springs, so you can maintain equal air pressure in both springs for simple front-to-back leveling. A gauge provides detailed monitoring of your air pressure.

Air Lift kits are designed to keep your vehicle at normal ride height. You can find the normal ride height of your vehicle by unloading it and measuring the distance between the bottom edge of your wheel well and the center of the hub. After you find and record this distance, you can regulate the amount of air that you send to your air springs to maintain normal ride height - even when you are hauling a heavy load. You will need to adjust the air pressure in your air bags according to the size of your load.

It's a quality kit and it works great. Install was a little tough on 2017 Ram 1500, otherwise I would rate it 5 stars. It's soo much better than having to manually inflate my air springs. Would buy again in a heartbeat.

by:

Most impressive was the awesome customer service I received from Kaylyn! She took the time to answer my questions and process the order quickly so I could get the air bags and compressor in time to install before my 2,500 mile road trip next week.

by:

Works great. I haul 2 snowmobiles on a deck on a 1/2 ton Silverado and it adds stability to the truck. I have a slow leak when the temps drop, otherwise it would get 5 stars.

by:

I first realized that I needed some help leveling my 2006 Yukon XL right after I hooked my 2 place trailer to the vechile. My previous Yukon had self leveling rear shocks, the 2006 did not come w/ that option. I mounted the compressor on the top of the passenger side wheel well, (there is plenty of room there, & away from engine heat) I mounted the pump & dump switchs , & the pressure gage on a piece of kydex that I cut to fit in the little cubby that is below the heat/ac controls. The hardest part was getting the lift "bags" into the coil spring tower, time & patience. The install looks factory, & works great to level the vechile while towing. Great product!

by:

Good unit runs well, but the airline and fittings in the kit leave a little to be desired. I’ve had to replace lines twice within a year now. But aside from that it’s a solid little unit.

by:

Installation of the Airlift air helper springs and air compressor was easy ,had 1200 lbs. in the bed of my truck and could"nt be more pleased with the load leveling and the ride , can"t wait to hook up my 5th wheel to see how it rides, very good product highly recommended .

by:

I've had this for about a year so far, I mounted it underneath the passenger rear door (outside) of my Dodge 3500 to run the air bags. I haven't had any problems at all. Great Product. FYI found out later the have a wireless one.. would have spent a lot less time installing. oh well

by:

I will say excellent but truthfully I just installed today. Will know more after a trip or two. Works as it should. Had plenty of everything I needed. Only thing I did not like was lack of a relay. I personally don't like pulling 15 amps off of my fuse panel. I used the supplied wire as a signal for a 30 amp relay and pulled it from a lug near the battery. Maybe not necessary but made me feel better. The compressor is noisy. Would have installed under a seat bit did not like the noise. Found a place that should keep it out of water splashing from tires. We'll see. Only problem was the pressure switch was supposed to be set at five pounds. More like one. Easy to fix.

by:

Gwen was very knowledgeable about the product. She was patient with my questions and found what I was looking for. The shipment arrived here in Alaska in 3 days. I will recommend this company to my friends.
Thanks

by:

The air suspension bolted into place with no issues ... perfect fit. The hardware for the air pump and gauge was complete. Had the job done in a day.

by:

KYB shocks and struts for my 05 Pilot EX, along with the air ride load leveler pillows were here within a week of ordering at a great price! Happy with front end of my purchase, now for the install! Kudos to etrailer.com!

by:

The install was very straight forward and the instructions were great. I had more than enough air line for an extended cab short box chevy. I would buy this again in a heartbeat. It has no problems supplying enough air to the air bags and it does it quickly and quietly.

by:

. Box came looking like it was ran through a mine fiend though. Everything inside looks in ok but will find out when I install it this weekend. But definitely will buy again from etrailer nothing but great reviews for them. usps who had package transferred to not so much. Know it wasn't ups cause never had one look like this from them

by:

Item arrived on time. Instructions were clear and simple. Was supplied with all necessary hardware. Very satisfied.

by:

Good value did everything I wanted it to
Compressor
is a lil noisy good thing it doesn't run much

by:

Great product easy installation works great on my Silverado!!

by:

Works as it should.

Review from a similar Load Controller II in Air Suspension Compressor Kit

Pretty good system! Leaks overnight as most systems do. Wish all would hold 100% air all the time, but they won’t!

  • Can Air Flow Either Direction Through Low Pressure Sensor of Air Lift II Compressor System
The low pressure sensor valve on the # AL25592 can have air flowing through either side of it. It is not a one way valve. When you removed the air line that would have released all of the air pressure out of the system. Try inflating the bags with either the manual inflate valve or the compressor.

  • Where is the Best Place to Mount an Air Lite Air Compressor on a 2012 GMC Sierra 2500
There should be some space somewhere on the truck frame rails or back of the rocker panels like in the picture I have included. Basically any where that you can find the space and it is not a chore to complete the installation is likely going to work. Avoid placing it too near items that generate heat like exhaust components. Otherwise there really is no one right place to install the compressor. Air Lift recommends to install the compressor in a dry area protected from the elements, avoid...

  • Troubleshooting an Air Lift Load Controller part # AL25592 that Kicks Off and On
The Air Lift Load Controller part # AL25592 that you referenced is designed to kick on and inflate the air bags if it senses that the pressure is below a certain point. If you manually deflate the bags and the pressure gets below the minimum threshold the compressor will kick back on. I couldn't quite understand your question completely but if the compressor is kicking off and on while below the minimum pressure, or when you are asking it to inflate the bags I would first check the wiring...

  • What Stops The Air Lift Load Controller II From Overfilling One Spring Over Another
Due to the low pressure sensor on the Air Lift Load Controller II Compressor System for Air Helper Springs # AL25592, the system will sense when one helper spring or the other is low and automatically begin filling with air. So, body roll wouldn't make one side fill up more than the other due to systems the automatic pressure regulation.

  • Can an Air Bag Compressor System be Wired to an Upfitter Switch on a 2016 Ford F-250
The upfitter switch on your truck would have to be one that is not currently being used. A 2-position switch can be used to power on the compressor to add air and then switched off once the desired psi is reached. If you wire it up to the upfitter switch I recommend using an analog compressor system that is more set up for that type of switch such as # AL25592. That way you can still have a way to purge out the air pneumatically rather than trying to make it work with a switch. This is...
