Today we're going to review the 2 1/2" long standard torx trailer floor and wall liner screw. The Torx flat head screws will make securing a wood floor or a wall liner to your trailer very quick, easy, and economical. This screw is designed with the type-F point, and that's designed for securing your wood floor to heavy gauge sheet metal, aluminum, cast iron, and zinc. The tapered flat head, as you can see right here at the top, when you install this, will sit flush with the surface. The Torx head size on this is a T30. The diameter of this screw is 1/4" in diameter, and the overall length is going to be right at 2 1/2" long. The type-F point, I had mentioned earlier, right here at the bottom, that's a blunt tip, and if you notice as I rotate it along, it has multiple cutting surfaces.
When you do install this, it does require a 7/32 pilot hole to be drilled to install this. That should do it for the review of the 2 1/2" long standard torx trailer floor and wall liner screw.

The product was just as expected. The steel was strong and not one of the 50 broke while screwing through the 2x6 pressure treated wood and steel cross members. I pre-drilled the 7/32 pilot hole using a brand new high quality DeWalt bit made for heavy steel that I bought at Lowes for $5.00. I selected economy shipping and received the screws in the mail within 1 week.
I would definitely do business with this company again. They even sent emails stating when the order was shipped (it was shipped the day after I placed the order) with tracking information. I couldn't be happier. The job was so easy...just need the right drill bit and you're good to go.

Great fasteners! I believe only one fasteners, out of the 300+ I used for the project, stripped instead of cutting threads into the low carbon steel floor support beams. I used these self tapping screws to fasten apitong (tropical hard-wood) decking planks to the structural steel 'I' beams for my 16' box van.

Not as good a steel as the ones I purchased 30 years ago. I had to drill the pilot hole 1/64 oversized so bolts would not break. They worked fine then. As always E-trailer is an excellent outfit to work with. Fast shipping, great selection and great pricing.

The length of the screw and design is good...but the diameter is abour 2/3 of what we normally use. The head is also smaller. We have not used yet.
