The product was delivered quickly as promised. The products satisfied my needs and I recommend this vendor. The loops secured the kayak without the ropes obscuring my view. The ties downs were easy to be use and held the kayak snuggle. The none skid mat protected my hood as advertised.

The Thule Quick Loops continue to work as advertised. The bow and stern tie down is easy to attach and use. The Kayaks are secure. I traveled 600 miles using the tie downs this past summer without an issue.

@Michael The Thule # TH530 Quick Loops really work well, don't they?

I purchased a 2017 Subaru Outback. To transport my 1981 17 foot QT17C Alumacraft canoe on the factory installed roof rack crossbars that came with the Outback, I selected the Thule Portage Canoe Carrier w/ Tie-Downs - Gunwale Brackets - Side Loading - TH819 to do the trick. I did some advance research online and couldn’t be more pleased with this purchase from etrailer.com. I now have a quality product at the right price and these gunwale brackets are a simple solution for this veteran canoe man. I’m also impressed with the bow/stern tie downs that have a very nice ratchet and clip on one end and I secured the supplied hook with a bowline knot to the other end of the ¼ inch rope.
The Outback did not have convenient anchor points on the front or back of the vehicle for tie down locations but I found a good solution by ordering the Thule Bow/Stern Tie-Downs - Qty 2 - TH530. This works well with the tie downs I mentioned previously. I no longer need to crawl under the vehicle looking a way to secure the canoe. I look forward to many more years of safe and happy canoeing
I give etrailer.com an excellent rating for the entire ordering and shipping process on top of the high level of satisfaction with the products I purchased through them. Their customer service and price ensured me that I’ll do more business with them in the future.

Etrailer is the only supplier which I found that had the total package of towers, cross bars and locks. Ordering was easy and shipment was shipped and received quickly, ordered on Saturday package arrived on Monday, tracking was included. I also order ordered the Thule tie downs and Etrailer tucked them on the roof rack package so I received everything in one box.
A follow up email was sent confirming order had been delivered. The rack was in stalled on a 2013 RAV4.

by:

Overall well-built. Loop tie-downs are a bit “sticky”. The insert for the trailer hitch is terrific.

by:

Great to use with our new to us vehicle which doesn’t have the tow straps

Thank you etrailer for another great product and excellent customer service.

Had a time finding a spot that would allow me to shut the hood on my 2022 GMC Canyon. After several openings and closings, found a great spot without much wiggle room. Provides a tight, secure fit. I haven't loaded up my two 18' sea kayaks for a test run yet, but they feel like a successful option for front anchor points.

I'm happy with the Malone Downloader with TelosXL Load Assist. I wanted help loading my kayak onto my Toyota Rav4 since I go kayaking alone (and I am a small but strong 60 year old woman). The TelosXL definitely helps getting the kayak up to the J cradles. I still need a sturdy step stool to push it from the loader to the cradles. The things that I think could use some adjusting: on the TelosXL I found that the foot pedals can slip on asphalt. I cut some non-stick pads out that I take with me if I'm loading/unloading on asphalt (see picture that I am including). Also with the TelosXL the assembly guides are too far apart. When the assembly is extended to touch the ground, only one of the guides still has the extender in it. This makes it less stable. Malone might consider putting one more guide between the 2. As far as the Downloader goes, the tie down straps need to have the buckle completed covered to avoid dings on the car. Also, the bow/stern lines should include a ratcheting system. I ended up paying extra to get the Thule tie down straps and bow/stern lines because they are better.

Simple, elegant and convenient solution to securing kayaks (etc.) to your vehicle. If you paddle longer boats (my kayaks are 14, 14.5 and 15 feet long) I recommend getting the Thule Bow/Stern Tie Downs (TH530) for convenient temporary bow & stern tie down points, without crawling under the vehicle to attach to the frame. I use them with my Thule Hull-A=Port Kayak carriers.

I personally love the quick loops. I have no place to attach tie downs to my car. I placed the front one under hood of passenger side and the rear one in the trunk, passenger side again. Holds tight and leaves no marks on paint.

After a year they still work perfectly....would recommend.

by:

These work well enough I suppose but I wish they were a couple inches longer. With my 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee there are only a couple of locations under the hood and rear hatch where the staps can actually be placed and still stick out far enough where you can hook them. The rear hatch especially, the strap sticks out barely enough for me to insert my hook. But, they work and a solid overall. Would I buy them again, no. There is another set on eTtailer from a different company, that appear much longer and half the price, those I would buy.

by:

This works great.

by:

etrailer provides great communication and quick shipping.
The replacement pads fit my Thule kayak racks perfectly and with these new loops I'll be able to use the tie down ropes easily.

These tie down loops come in very handy on my new car that lacks the towing hooks that I used to use on my old one and hold just as securely.

by:

I bought these because i didnt have an easy place to attach the screw on loops under the hood. I tried them out last weekend and it worked great! the squishy rubber is nice because i dont have to worry about damage to my car & hood. The loops are long enough to stay away from the paint on the hood. Great investment! can be used on multiple cars easily!

Great product to help out with support of our kayak on the Thule Slipstream TH887XT Roof Mount rack!

GREAT PRODUCT ** Transportation of our Kayak is the best we have had? This rack carrys everything, even our Christmas Tree and Lumber we buy at [the home store]! We use this rack for just about anything we need to carry on the roof of our vehicle!

by:

My Ford Escape has no good tie down spots (which surprised me for an SUV type vehicle). These straps allow me to easily tie down to a secure spot, both front and rear.

still works good

Worked well on both hood and tailgate of 2012 Subaru Outback to provide additional tie-down security for boats strapped into roof rack carriers. Was a little worried about the hood location and whether the plastic would be impacted by proximity to hot top of radiator but have had no issues. Great product if your vehicle has limited options for tiedowns on or under front or rear bumpers.

Great Idea and Safe Alternative to Old Fashioned Tedious Tie Downs. Great Product.

by:

great item, easy to use !

by:

These work so much better than trying to use the tow hooks on the front bumper. Solid construction.

by:

These Tie-Downs are so easy to use and are great for securing the bow and stern of our boats instead of tying off on the trailer hitch and risking marring the paint on our car. Great idea!

by:

Haven't utilized these yet as I just receive my hitch assembly and I need to figure out where these will attach on/inside/from the hatch of the 2015 VW GTI!
I WILL use them though as the bike rack could bend the hitch assembly since it's only an 1" square....

by:

These are great!! Both of the tow hooks on my Kia Soul are on the passenger side of the vehicle and I didn’t trust tying my kayak on top with the bow and stearn off to the same side. These straps are completely sturdy and gave me the option to tie to the center, front and back!! Great product!!

by:

I purchased two sets of the Thule Quick Loops for my daughter and myself. We love them! No having to find the proper place to tie down our kayaks..just open the hood and back hatch and good to go. Also the shipping time was fantastic. Thank you from a couple of new and happy kayakers.

by:

If you put a boat on your roof, buy these. They are life changing. Climbing under my car to hook up the tie downs, after a long paddle, was the worst.

by:

Used it last weekend and it works great. I put one between hood/front of car and the other between the back hatch/rear of car and the canoe was very secure (I also tied the canoe over the top to the luggage rack as their video showed).

  • Will Thule TH530 Quick Loops Work in Truck Tailgate
The Thule # TH530 Quick Loops will work just fine when closed in the tailgate of your F150. The Quick Loops provide a secure place to attach the hooks for tie-downs that won't scratch the paint on your vehicle.

  • Are Thule Quick Loops part # TH530 Long Enough for 10 Foot Kayaks
The Malone T-Style Hood Loops part # MPG308 would easily be long enough to attach to 10 foot long kayaks like you have.

  • How Long is the Strap on Rhino-Rack Anchor Straps # RRRBAS-2
I went out to the warehouse to measure the strap length on the Rhino-Rack Anchor Straps # RRRBAS-2 for you. From the cylinder the strap is attached to up to the end of the strap is 11 inches. They anchor is 5-3/4 inches long and has a diameter of 1-1/2 inches. I included a review video showing this product.

  • Do Malone Hood Loops Need to be Encased in Metal?
You can use the Malone QuickLash T-Style Hood Loops # MPG308 on your 2016 Honda CR-V. They do not need to be encased in metal, just make sure they are located as securely as possible. For bow/stern tie-down straps you can use the Thule Quick Draw Tie-Down Ropes w/ Ratchets and Strap Loops # TH855XT.

  • Can Malone QuickLash Hood Loops Bow/Stern Tie-Downs be Left in Place After use?
If you reach your kayaking destination you can leave the Malone QuickLash T-Style Hood Loops for Bow/Stern Tie-Downs # MPG308 in place as you will be re-using them again making your return trip. Once you get home, however, they should be removed. The reason is if you are using these and something like the Thule Hull-A-Port Aero # TH849000 to carry your kayaks, the Quick Loops will not have any slack on them when not in use and if you are using them at the front they could potentially be...

  • Can Two Kayaks Fit Thule Roof Rack & Are J-Style Holders Compatible With Quick Loops
The Quick Loops for Thule Bow/Stern Tie-Downs # TH530 can indeed be used with Thule J-style kayak holders, including the discontinued 848 XTR you mentioned. A better option is the Thule Hull-A-Port Aero # TH849000. These are channel-mounted so they are easy to put on the roof rack, and you can indeed use two of them at the same time with no issues at all. If you also need the WingBar Evo roof rack for your 2023 Corolla the correct parts are # TH711420, # TH710501, and # TH145209.

  • Can 1 Set of Tie Downs be Used for 2 Kayaks on the Thule Stacker and 2015 Subaru Outback
You will likely be able to use just one set of tie downs for 2 kayaks and the Thule Stacker # TH830. Ultimately though it depends on the length of the vehicle. Longer vehicles require longer tie down straps. But on your 2015 Subaru Outback I do not anticipate there being an issue. Especially if you use Hood Loops # MPG308. If you do want to get another set of tie downs you can use # TH855XT.

  • Best Setup for a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox to Carry a Paddleboard and a Kayak
You'll need a few things to do so, starting with a roof rack system. I recommend the Thule Aero-Blade Edge, part # TH7501-TH7501. These are quick-mount bars that mount onto your existing rails with no additional hardware. They also have T-Channels that are the standard for most watersport carrier accessories. You have a few options when building a carry system for a Kayak and paddleboard. The paddleboard will need to be laying down to provide the best aerodynamics, so you have to save...

  • Difference Between Swagman Truck Bed Racks S64702 and Patrol S64701
The two Swagman bike racks you mentioned are very similar. For the money I would have to recommend the # S64702 since will basically do all the same things as the other rack at a fraction of the price. As long as you have 9 mm axles this would be the way to go. The biggest advantage to the part # S64701 is that it can fit 9mm, 15 mm, and thru-axle bikes so it does offer a bit more flexibility. Since you said you have a lefty bike you would need a different rack than those two. You would...
