Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a Rhino-Rack Bonnet Tie-Down Strap with Anchor.This strap secures a kayak, surfboard, or other long load to the roof of your vehicle. The strap simply wraps around your gear and tightens with the included built-in cam buckles. This is perfect for gear that does not have built-in tie down points.Basically what happens is you take the end of the strap. Let's just say you're doing this on a kayak. You place this on top of the kayak, and then you bring your strap around the bottom of the kayak. Place it through this buckle here.

On the other end, it's actually sewn in. You place it through the buckle, run it down to the vehicle, pull out any slack that you may have. You can do that just by pulling the excess strap. The good thing about a cam buckle is it doesn't back feed. You have to press the release lever in order to loosen it.You take that, you pull out any excess, you get it tight around your kayak.

Then you take this through the anchor point, which would be underneath the hood of the vehicle, or it could also, if you're doing this at the rear, under the trunk or under the hatch. Place it through there, bring it back up through the other cam buckle. Pull it tight, and then secure any excess that you have.Again, this strap is designed to secure a kayak, surfboard, or other long load to the roof of your vehicle. Again, perfect for gear without built-in tie down points.You get the bonnet strap, which is just a big loop with two cam buckles. You get the anchor strap, which creates a temporary mounting point on your vehicle.

It fits under the hood, or hatch, of your vehicle to help secure your gear. Great for vehicles that don't have easily accessible tie down points, or if you don't want the strap coming into contact with the body of the vehicle, this is a great bonus to have. The padded anchor protects your vehicle from scratches, and the strapping on the unit's made from a durable polyester webbing. The padding's made from a durable foam.With this part number, you get one bonnet strap and one anchor strap. The bonnet strap length is 11-1/2 to 12' long.

Then the anchor strap measures around 11" long. Then this portion right here measures about 5-3/4, and then the diameter is 1-1/2".It also comes with your detailed installation instructions to help walk you through the whole process step by step. You can see here how that secures. They're showing it underneath the hood of the vehicle, and it just creates that nice tie down point. Take your strap over your load, take it around, pull out any slack, then you run it down to the anchor point, you run it back up. Now, they do recommend that you do a cross-weave design. That keeps the strap from vibrating as you go down the road.
