Each of these heavy-duty Gen-Y Hitch ramps has a large, sturdy hook welded to the top. These hooks tightly grab onto the edge of your trailer deck. With this secure grip, the ramps will stay connected to your trailer as you load your equipment.
At 168", these Gen-Y Hitch ramps are long enough to maintain a gentle angle so that you can gradually drive your vehicle up and into your trailer bed. In addition, the slight incline will make it easier to maneuver your vehicle up the ramps, and it will exert less wear on your vehicle's engine than driving up a steep slope.
The bottom of the ramp also has a strong, angled base, which will keep the ramp at the proper pitch for even easier loading.

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the Gen-Y line of heavy duty aluminum loading ramps. The Gen-Y ramps are available in 6, 8, and 10,000 pound capacities. The 6,000 pound ramps are four inches wide. They're available in six and seven feet. The 8,000 pounds ramps are going to go up to 15 inches wide. Those are available in 12 and 14 feet.
Really long ramps so you can really reduce the angle that you're driving up on and what we have here today are 10,000 pound ramps. These are also going to be 15 inches wide, available in both eight and ten feet. These Gen-Y ramps give you the perfect solution for loading and unloading trucks and trailers. The heavyweight aluminum construction gives it superior capacities to most ramps out there on the market. You can see, also, all the way down the ramp, we're going to have very good grip surfaces so, even if it's a little bit wet outside, or there's some moisture around, we're not going to have to worry about our tires or wheels slipping while we're going on or off.You can see the large rectangular tubes that are going to be on both sides of our ramps there. Really give us that great durability.
You're also going to have an angle on the front side of the ramp that's going to allow us to go right in behind the trailer and you can see how nice and thick that aluminum is, really does a great job, won't have to worry about those slipping off like some of the other ramps on the market. Our ramps are going to tapper down to about an inch in the back so even vehicles that have low ground clearance, shouldn't be an issue at all getting loaded up. The extended length of these ramps are really going to be helpful when loading from the side of taller trailers. Another thing I really like about the Gen-Y ramps are even though they're very heavy duty constructed they're light enough that one guy can manage getting them on and off the trailer. That's going to complete our look at the Gen-Y line of heavy duty aluminum loading ramps.

Extra-long surfaces minimize the angle needed when loading your trailer. These are high quality ramps. I have used them to load/unload a large cadillac fleetwood and a chevy dually onto a deckover trailer with no problem. If you have a long vehicle to load, and are looking for a set of ramps that are long and wide, these ramps will do the job for you.
These were special order and took a few weeks to ship. I ordered them well in advance of actually needing them, so no problem. Delivery was LTL, and they were wrapped together, so be ready to transport 200# from the curb.
I bought these ramps primarily to load a car with a *very* shallow angle of approach to my dovetail auto hauler. I really needed 16', but these ramps are the longest I can find. I make it work with jacks stands under the trailer and blocks under the rear wheels of the truck. Race Ramps ramp extensions might work, but I haven't tried them.
I am only loading 3200##, so while the construction is massive overkill for my use, the width is helpful for the long hike up the ramps to the trailer and gives space to correct a misalignment on the trailer.
For transport, I strap the ramps to the deck under the car. The fact these fit under the car (barely!) was a selling point for these ramps vs other options. If the ramps were any thicker, I would need to come up with a way to stow the ramps and have to move the bulky 100# ramps to the stowage location. As is, I just pick up one end of each ramp and shove it under the car.
The ramps are built *very* well. The welds are superb, and the construction solid. As expected for aluminum, after two years of being stored outside, there is no evidence of corrosion. I expect to use them for many years.
I bought the 14' aluminum ramps and I was able to load my 45 hp Cub Cadet Tractor with the front end loader and stone rake in back. The ramps was strong enough to loaf it onto my trailer. The length should be gradual enough for when I have my back hoe attachment on, it won't rub on the ground and break any hoses. Good price, good quality. Very pleased.
They did what I need. Got some permanent deflection but nothing to worry about. They almost sit flat now.
