Increase your towing versatility with this Hi-Rise adapter. The fifth-wheel hitch mounts in the ball hole of your existing underbed gooseneck hitch with included posts.
The posts screw into the bottom of fifth-wheel hitch and drop down into the ball hole on the underbed gooseneck hitch. A square post is included for use with B&W gooseneck hitches, and a round post is included for use with Bulldog, Draw-Tite and Reese gooseneck hitches. Both posts can be adjusted for height to ensure a tight, secure fit with the truck bed floor.
The fifth-wheel head has a single-piece, self-latching jaw with an extended-length handle for easy operation. The jaw wraps tightly around your trailer king pin and automatically latches in place when connected properly to ensure safe towing. The handle can be locked with a padlock (37DAT; sold separately).
The fifth-wheel head pivots 4 degrees side to side and 10 degrees front to back to ensure easy trailer hookup, even on ground that is not level. A 9-inch-wide funnel area (rather than a standard 6-inch-wide funnel) provides a large target for lining up your trailer king pin with the fifth-wheel hitch.
The fifth-wheel head has 3-3/4" of vertical adjustment to accurately match your particular trailer's height. Simply remove four bolts - two per side - and move the head up or down to your desired height.
The fifth-wheel hitch includes stabilizer strips that attach to the bottom of your fifth-wheel legs. The strips sit in the grooves of the truck bed to provide a more level mounting surface and to create more friction with the truck bed. This makes it less likely that the hitch will rotate or move during use.
The fifth-wheel base has offset legs to improve the braking performance of your trailer. The longer back legs brace the hitch to ensure that it stays planted in the truck bed, even during emergency braking situations.

Well built. Easy to use. Handles my 33' Alpenlite with ease. Removes very quickly for use of the bed. Good instructions and assembles quickly.
Other than being heavy to set in the truck bed, the hitch is easy to install into a B&W gooseneck and it stayed well secured without any shifting of the base for a 400 mile round trip towing a10k lb trailer. The 4 degree side to side tilt does not seem necessary and it does make it difficult to properly torque the mounting nut. The side to side tilt also adds a good bit of weight.
Not recommended at all in a short box. The hitch sits 5" forward on center axle. Cab clearance is greatly reduced. Hitch doesn't even come close to sitting flat in the truck. Hitch is very sloppy in the Goose Neck receiver. I had to spend a lot of time and money to have the hitch reworked. The only reason I gave a 2 star rating is because of the Great Customer Service at ETrailer!!! Otherwise it would get no stars!!!!
Heather A - 08/24/2017Very pleased the the Draw-Tite 5th wheel hitch. Easy in/easy out by myself. Have an electric hoist in my shop, easily store the the hitch in the overhead when not in use. Like the idea of no additional holes in the bed for a 5th wheel hitch. Have been using it for a year, no problems. All the components are more than adequate for the expected loading. I would recommend it to anyone that needs a 5th wheel hitch.

Because I was in a real rush to get the hitch, they went out of their way to break it up into two shipments that could be handled by UPS vs having it one package that had to come truck freight. As a result, I got it when I needed it. Thank you very much, Larry.
Larry S - 12/12/2017Straightforward instructions and easy install. Worked fine and handled our 11k lbs fiver with no problems. Got to destination, took hitch off and I can again use my gooseneck ball and/or have full use of the bed w/out any fiver hitch rails.

It's been a great hitch, worked just as it was supposed too. Easy to install. Unfortunately I recently bought a different trailer and this hitch will not work with it. So now I have to sell this hitch and buy another one.

I've owned this for a year now and it's performed as advertised. To be fair, the only other hitch I've used is a B&W companion hitch! Good product, fairly simple to install
We have put over 10,000 miles on our trailer this year. Easy in and out of truck with positive hook ups everytime. We also had a friend borrow our camper. We moved the hitch to their truck and within minutes they were ready to go
I ordered this hitch, when it came in the box was damaged and parts missing. Called them had the missing parts in a few days. Hitch is great and was the best price around. etrailers is an excellent company to do business with.
Simple! Put it together, slip it in the goose neck receiver. Directions are easy to follow and the youtube video is very helpful.
The product was good the people at etrailer we're great.. now for the shipping the shipping sucked UPS I would never use them again every time I got the boxes they were torn up looks like they went through a meat grinder in fact I had to send back the first order cuz we didn't know if all the parts were there then when I got the second order it was just as bad.
What a wonderful experance I have had working with etrailer. The follow-up and concern to make it right, was over whelming. My wife counted five phone calls, to keep us infromed about a lost box, by UPS. When found the box was danaged and a part was missing. The part was FedX to me next day! I know i will be using etrailer again.
It's work great and it will work on any gooseneck hitch.
The reason I didn't rate it higher is it doesn't sit real flat in the bed and bangs around a little when starting and stopping. Otherwise I would be happier if it was easier to remove.

Good product but the way it gets shipped the main part gets dinged and marred. Paint scratched off, the warning decals were damaged.
