Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look together at this Curt Helux shock absorbing fifth wheel pin box. Now this coil spring shock absorption system in this Helux pin box is designed to reduce chucking and jarring when you're towing your fifth wheel trailer. So if your current setup causes a rough ride, especially over bumps or dips, this upgrade can make a noticeable difference in your ride quality. Now this is going to fit your Lippert Rhino pin box bolt pattern and it is approved on Lippert RV frames, which means that you're gonna get a smoother ride without risking your trailer's warranty.

Like with some other aftermarket pin boxes. I do wanna point out that this is not going to be compatible with offset fifth wheel hitches, just so you're aware of that. And insulation is going to be pretty straightforward. This does include the mounting bolts that you're gonna need, and I have them kind of loosely run through our bolt holes here, so hardware is included. But I do wanna let you know that even though this is gonna be a relatively simple installation, this is heavy, so weighs about 165 pounds.

So you do wanna make sure that you have plenty support to lift this into place. I needed help to just get it up on my table here. So just so you're aware of that. Now with a gross towing weight of 24,000 pounds and a maximum pin weight of 6,200 pounds and a minimum pin weight of 3,290 pounds, this is made for larger fifth wheel trailer. So if you're hauling something substantial, this pin box is definitely gonna be up to that task.

So this is built for longevity. The Helux pin box boasts virtually maintenance free design. As you can see, you're not gonna have any airbags to worry about refilling. What's a another plus with this is there's no break-in period to wait for. The automotive grade coil spring is going to give you consistent, reliable performance while this rugged steel construction with this really great black powder coat finish is going to do a great job of resisting wear and corrosion.

So the finish actually looks great on this. I think it's gonna look great on your trailer as well. So it's gonna hold up really well for you. It's designed for longevity and durability. So if you tow a large fifth wheel trailer regularly and you want a smoother, quieter, more comfortable ride, reducing those forward and backward jolts, and at the same time you wanna reduce long-term stress on your RV and tow vehicle, this pin box is really going to be a great option for you to consider.
