Fifth-wheel trailer hitch provides excellent jaw-to-king-pin contact with a 2-jaw latching system. Square-tube slider helps to eliminate clearance concerns during slow-speed turns. Rails and installation kit included.

Specs:
Unlike the more economical slide-bar models, the rounded, 2-piece jaw on this fifth-wheel trailer hitch inhibits rattle and movement by securely wrapping around your trailer's king pin, resulting in easier hookup and a safer, quieter ride.
Most often used on trucks with 6' beds, this roller helps to eliminate clearance problems during slow-speed turns. When you are towing a fifth-wheel trailer, your hitch must be situated on the cab side of your truck's rear axle. However, at slow speeds you can use a roller to slide the fifth-wheel hitch (and the trailer) toward your truck's tailgate and past the rear axle, creating enough space between the cab of your truck and the trailer to permit less-restricted turning.

Shane: Hi, I'm Shane with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Reese dual jaw fifth wheel trailer hitch with square tube slider on our 2018 Ram 2500. This hitch is designed to easily hook up and disconnect from your fifth wheel trailers. This hitch is designed for an above bed rail set up like we have here. It's going to allow you to easily not only put your fifth wheel hitch into the bed of your truck, but also take it out to give you total bed access. You can see it has a very nice wide base to give you plenty of stability when pulling that fifth wheel trailer. We're going to have a 16,000 pound gross trailer weight, and a 4,000 pound vertical load limit. Our head is going to pivot in four different directions, so we can not only hook up but unhook on unlevel ground.
Forward and backwards, and side to side. Our head assembly is going to have a nice wide opening, this is going to make it easy to hook up to our fifth wheel and disconnect even if we we're at a slight angle. This is going to be a dual jaw design, and what sets us apart from your single jaw, is you got more surface, surface contact with a better fit around that king pin. This is going to remove or eliminate a lot of the jarring effect you get when you're stopping and taking off, or when you're going over obstacles.I've got a piece of plastic here, this is a simulate a kingpin on a trailer. I'm going to go ahead and insert this. You can see it's kind of wore out.
We're gonna close this up around it, and you can see we really don't get a whole lot of movement out of there even with how we're out this plastic is.Now to operate the jaws, you're simply going to pull the handle, you're going to flip the lock, you're going to slide the handle out, and it locks into place. Once you back into your king pin, you pull the handle, it's going to lock around your king pin, and you place a lock on. Nice thing about our lock, it has a hole here, and there's a plate here that allows you to put a padlock on it so nobody can come up and disconnect yet.Another nice feature, so we're going to have a plate here, it's got a hole in it, and then our lock, it's going to have a hole in it. When we lock our handle into place, we can put a padlock on there and that'll keep or deter someone from coming up in unlocking and disconnecting your fifth wheel. Now let's move down to our height adjustability. You notice the four holes, this is going to allow us to adjust the height of our hitch in four different increments.
From our lowest at 15 inches, all the way up to 18 inches at our highest. Now how we operate our slider, we're going to have a lock towing, we're going to have an unlock, and we're going to have a lock maneuvering. We're going to have a guide pin that tells us where we are. Now, this slider is great for short bed trucks. We unlock it. We're going to slide it all the way back to the back towards the tailgate, lock in the maneuvering.
This is gonna allow us to park our trailer at an angle. We're not going to have to worry about the front of the trailer, the nose of the trailer hitting the cab of the truck. When we're ready to take off again, unlock it, slide our hitch back up, lock it into the towing position. Again, this fifth wheel hitch is for a above bed rail kit. You're going to have a foot that's going to slide down into your rail. You'll have a pin that's gonna slide through the rail, and through the hole in the foot, just like that. Then you'll have a clip to lock it into place. This hitch is gonna have a nice black powder coat finish, it's going to resist any rust or corrosion and stay looking nice for a really long time. This is going to be one of the more economical hitches. There are other hitches available, they give you a few more upgrades. All of those hitches can be found here at etrailer.com.
