Hello, every buddy, this is Jeff etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the CURT Adapter Rails for The Fifth Wheel Hitch on your Dodge Ram Towing Prep Packages. Now, this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2014 and newer Dodge Ram trucks that have The Factory Fifth Wheel Towing Prep Package. And in a custom fit part like this I do like to recommend for you to go to our website use the fit guide, put it in your year model vehicle and it'll show you if this will work for your application. Now, this is a custom base that is specifically designed to attach to the receivers that are in your Dodge Ram Factory Installed Underbed Fifth Wheel Towing Prep Package.
Once installed the space will provide the industry standard base rails. That'll accept most Fifth Wheel Fixed Leg Hitches and Fifth Wheel Slider Hitches. If I zoom in here just to show you on the tubes here you can see the slots on the cross tube. These are designed to accept the tabs that's on your Fifth Wheel Hitch. So you just drop it right into those slots and then secure it with the pins in the clips.
It is compatible with BMW Curved Demco, Draw-Tight, Hidden Hitch, Husky, and Reese Fifth Wheel Hitches. Now this does also use a quarter turn anchoring system on each corner here for quick installation and removal. And just to show you how you do that. When you go to install this into your Underbed Towing Prep Package as your first do, pop this clip off and that'll release the handle here. All you do is rotate that handle of a quarter of turn.
You can see when you rotate it this tab down here is turning and you'll do this on all four corners. Once they're open like that, drop it into the Underbed System and then rotate your handles back and those cabs will lock it into place. And then to secure it, take your pin slide it back through the post there and it holds that handle from opening and again, you'll do that on all four corners also what's nice, these anchors right here, these are adjustable they'll help eliminate any chucking between the legs and the Underbed Platform. So if it's too tight, you can take out the cutter pin here and then loosen it up. If it's too loose, you can take out that cutter pin and tighten it down.
So it is adjustable, but it's very easy to install, very easy to remove. Now it is protected by a highly durable carbide black powder coat finish on it. Again the application we mentioned is Dodge Ram trucks with the Factory Installed Underbed Towing Prep Package. Capacity on this is 25,000 pounds gross towing weight capacity, 6,250 pounds vertical load capacity. Now you do wanna be aware that the capacity is limited to the lowest rated towing component on your vehicle.
