Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the PullRite custom installation kit with the base rails for your fifth wheel trailer hitches. It has a 20,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2020 and newer Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 trucks with the 6-3/4 foot bed and without the OEM prep package. And on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show you if this will work for your application.
Now, the installation kit here will let you mount your fifth wheel trailer hitch into the bed of your truck. The mounting brackets, which I've installed here on the sides, these mounting brackets install beneath your truck bed. And they provide the attachment points for these above bed base rails. The base rails, both of these here, provide the necessary mounting points for your fifth wheel hitch to attach to. Now, the custom fit mounting brackets, these are designed to mount to existing holes in your vehicle's frame to help minimize drilling and measuring, reduces installation time, and it'll even help avoid known obstacles along your truck's frame.
Now, one of the best features on these PullRite brackets are the built-in tabs. That'll be just below, they're on the top of the mounting brackets just below these bolts on each corner. And I want to zoom in and show you where they're located. It's hard to see them because they're underneath, but they're right in here. And what's nice about those tabs, they eliminate one of your biggest problems when installing mounting brackets to your vehicle, which is how to keep the nuts in place when installing the bolts of the mounting brackets.
And basically what they look like, if I pop up this insert, that's the underside, you'll see that tab there. It's a thinner metal. You'll be able to bend that down, slide the nut in there, and then when you put your bolt in, tighten it down, that tab with the slot in it will hold the nut in place. So it allows you to tighten your bolt down without having to access underneath there 'cause usually the problem on most when you install them, like I mentioned, is accessing that nut and bolt to tighten it all down. This makes it a lot easier because once you put that nut in there, all you have to worry about is tightening that bolt down.
Now, this kit is compatible with PullRite, B&W Patriot, the CURT, the Demco, the Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch Husky, and even the Reese above-bed fifth wheel hitches. They do use a black powder coat steel, which is corrosion resistant. Does come with the two base rails, the custom mounting brackets, all the hardware you need for installation, and a nice set of detailed installation instructions on how it all goes together. These parts are made in the USA. And again, the gross towing weight capacity is 20,000 pounds. But that should do it for a look at the PullRite custom installation kit with these base rails for your fifth wheel trailer hitches.
