Heavy-duty fifth-wheel trailer hitch has a dual jaw, pivoting head and color-coded lock indicator for superb safety and security. Non-binding slider ensures proper clearance during slow turns. OEM adapter rails included.
Features:
Specs:
Unlike slide-bar models, the rounded, two-piece jaw on this fifth-wheel trailer hitch inhibits rattle and movement by securely wrapping around your trailer's king pin, resulting in easier hookup and a safer, quieter ride.
Get peace of mind with Curt's color-coded lock indicator. Just look at the indicator - either the one on the handle or the one on the hitch itself - to determine whether the jaw is in the correct position to uncouple (red), couple (yellow) or tow (green).
Curt's unique spherical axial bearing provides a durable pivot point that allows easy, 360-degree movement of the hitch head. This ball joint is designed for smooth, quiet operation with less clunking and chucking.
Most often used on trucks with 6' and 6-1/2' beds, this roller helps to eliminate clearance problems during slow-speed turns. When you are towing a fifth-wheel trailer, your hitch must be situated on the cab side of your truck's rear axle. However, at slow speeds you can use a roller to slide the fifth-wheel hitch (and the trailer) toward your truck's tailgate and past the rear axle, creating enough space between the cab of your truck and the trailer to permit less-restricted turning.
Non-Binding Design
The round-tube design of this slider allows for relatively uninhibited movement of your fifth-wheel hitch. Because your hitch can glide smoothly and easily along the rods, there is less chance of binding.
With straight, flat contact points, as found with square-tube sliders, tension can build between the slider and the hitch when your truck and trailer are somewhat out of line or are on uneven ground. As a result, it can be difficult to properly activate the slider when your truck and trailer are not in a straight line.
With a round-tube slider, there is more give between the contacting surfaces, allowing better mobility of the hitch system. Fewer corners means less tension buildup. Activating a round-tube slider is easier, and operation as a whole is smoother.

Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at these Curt Adapter Rails on our 2022 Ram 2500. Now that's going to be an adapter piece from the factory puck system if your RAM came with that in the bed and adapt it so you can use your pre-existing Curt Fifth Wheel with Slider Base. So if you already have that from a previous truck and you just mounted it up to your ISR rails, then this is going to be the piece that lets you use it with your new truck that has the prep package for towing. So rather than getting a whole new fifth wheel that's designed to work with that factory puck system, you can use what you already have, drop it into this adapter piece and keep using it as normal. Let's check it out.
So this is going to come with all the pieces and hardware you need to get things up and running. Your slider base is going to drop in to these rectangular slotted holes in each corner. Those are going to look very familiar to those who already have a fifth wheel set up and it's going to be the same size slot as those rails you maybe had before. And then this does come with the pins and clips to secure underneath with the tabs. Of course, you can upgrade to locking pins as well as locking pins here at the corners where this adapter attaches to the bed.
But out of the box, it's going to come with pins and clips and you can upgrade them later on if you decide to. Those quarter turn levers at each corner are going to be how we actually attach this into the factory puck system, where we drop this down in, turn that lever to lock the tab in and keep this from popping back out, keeping it very secure in the vehicle. And then when we're done, that's exactly how we remove it too, leaving nothing behind so you get full unhindered access to your truck bed. Now if you're starting from scratch and you need to build a whole fifth wheel hitch set up from the ground up, no worries, we've got plenty of kits here available at etrailer that you can find to suit your needs based on what kind of weight capacities you need and what features you need. But in all this is designed to work with Curt Sliders.
So whichever option you go with or if you end up piecing together your own kit, just remember that it's designed to work with Curt Sliders not necessarily other brands. And this is designed to work with sliders. So for our truck right here where we don't have a long eight foot bed, that's going to be perfect. That extra clearance from the cab is what we want and this is the piece that can get us there. But that'll do it for our look at these fifth wheel adapter rails from CURT on our 2022 Ram 2500.
Thanks for watching.
Showed up just in time to install and cross a few states to pick up our 1st new 5th wheel. Easy installation and showed up a few days early.
This Q25 is solid and heavy duty, I installed myself without any issues..I’m excited to pick up my new 5th wheel toy hauler in couple days…I’m happy with my purchase, I know it’s going to hold up for many camping trips to come.
Overall very happy with my Curt 5th wheel 24k hitch. I’m happy it came in pieces because of the weight totally assembled. Release spring for the slide is pretty stiff but I wouldn’t want it disengaging while driving down the road. Thanks for all your help Justin and your prompt service.
THE Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R24 Slider - Dual Jaw - 24,000 lbs. WAS EASY TO ORDER AND CAME PROMPLTY. INSTRUCTIONS WERE VERY EASY TO READ WHICH MADE INSTALLATION SIMPLE AND EASY.
Heavy duty and construction seems good. The slider handle will be tuff to use since the bed wall is so close and the spring is strong, not to mention the lack of room once a trailer is on there (possible re-design needed). Also wish it came with a few varying rubber shims that go under the assembly. The ones that came with it wont fit and without anything, it is metal to metal and a little sloppy. Other than that, I think it will work good and last a long time...
Love my fifth wheel on time delivery
Three concerns/issues. One, is that my truck sits so high up in the air, (Dodge Power Wagon) that when I was hauling the trailer I had so many issues with swaying. If you tow behind is not fairly level this will happen. It took a long time to figure this out. Might want to pass this along to other customers
Two. Should the white disc go between the hitch and the tow behind as a protective disc?
Three. on pull behinds there are chains or cables in the event that the trailer unhooks from the hitch ball. There are no safety cables or chains for a fifth wheel. How come? Just inquiring.
Like most customers the box was in really bad shape when it arrived. Everything was still together and not damaged. Received 2 of 3 boxes, contacted customer service since I needed the rail system for the rest of the assembly to mount on and they promised the rails would arrive the next day. I'm trusting they will get here. The Curt fifth wheel slider hitch is built substantially well and is impressive, cannot wait to hook up!
Have not used it yet, just put it together. The hitch is easy to operate and built very well. Only issues I have are the pieces are heavy and not sure if they can be packed any other way. UPS must have dropped one of the pieces because one of the boxes was shredded, the other had holes in it and some of the hardware was poking through the box. Great hitch all in all.
Our first fifth wheel hitch, but no stranger to trailers. This had excellent build quality and installation instructions. Fit and finish is spot on. Best part it fits in My 2014 F250 with my diesel Aux tank with zero issues.
This was over kill for me, I always order things more heavy duty than advertised, because they always come as a lesser quality, but not this Time. It was much more heavy duty. My 5th wheel is 14,500 # so it's not
Lightweight but this thing tows my 5th wheel like it's not even there, and it got here in less than 3 full days! I'm very impressed!
Works as intended. A little noisy as the hitch’s has some slop from the slider.
I haul campers for a living and this hitch has worked great, no issues, great hitch for the money. The only thing I have done is add a teflon plate to the head so I dont have to grease the fifth wheel
Easy trouble free connect and disconnect. Quiet while traveling.
Pins were hard to get in and fifth wheel is a good three higher
Very heavy duty
Hitch is very heavy duty. Easy to install with the help of a friend. Have not had a chance to use it yet but will be this weekend.
Good looking product. etrailer stayed in touch with me regarding the delivery. And there it was, sitting on my door step when I came home several days earlier then expected.
