Video Transcript for Slime Pro Power Tire Inflator Review

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Slime Heavy Duty Pro Power Tire Inflator, part number SLM40031. The Slime Pro Power Tire Inflator is perfect for truck, 4x4, or truck applications. It's great just for simply taking on camping trips, simply airing up sports equipment, or even your tire here. It has a coiled air hose for easy handling. It goes up to a 16 foot reach. It also features an inline dial gauge that goes up to 150 psi. The 10 foot power cord ensures that you'll have plenty of reach to get back to our vehicle.

You just simply plug it into a 12 volt accessory outlet. It features a nice LED light for those night time emergencies. Now we'll look over some features and go ahead and show you how it works. As you can see, my truck tire here is pretty flat. I'm going to go ahead and plug it in and we'll get started. Now it's just a matter of hooking it up to our valve stem and then turning it on.

Now the dial gauge is going to instantly read tire pressure. As you can see, I've got hardly any psi at all. For my truck here, I know I need to get to 40. We'll go ahead and turn it on. The Slime Pro Power Tire Inflator has a very quiet and powerful direct drive air-cooled motor. It'll pump up an average tire in about 3 minutes.

Once we get to where we need to be, we can go ahead and shut it off. Now let's try it on a soccer ball. It comes with a few different adapters. Let's go ahead and use the one for our ball. We'll grab our hose and screw it on. I know my soccer ball here's going to take about 10 psi.

We'll just plug it in, turn it on, and keep a close eye on our dial gauge. That's about it, perfect. Then when we're all finished, we can grab our convenient canvas storage bag and keep it away for safe keeping. That's going to complete our look at the Slime Heavy Duty Power Pro Tire Inflator, part number SLM40031. You could find this and everything else right here at etrailer.com. What's up, man.

Slime Pro Power Tire Inflator - Heavy Duty - SLM40031

Average Customer Rating:  4.6 out of 5 stars   (7 Customer Reviews)

- SLM40031

Have only had to use the inflator once since purchasing. Blew a boat trailer tire on a crowded highway. Changing tire was tough enough but inflator saved me when the spare needed air. Plenty of extension lines and filled my tire to 65lbs psi very quickly. Good product that stores well and works like it should.

The Slime Pro Power Tire Inflator-Heavy Duty, SLM40031, arrived on time yesterday. I used it to cap off bike tires @35 and travel trailor tires @65. What I like best with this model SLM is the "cigarette plug in"; much easier than battery clips and provides a better connection. Another key advantage is the 16' length power line and the screw on tire connection; also much better/easier than the push on lock connection that does not easily push on.

- SLM40031

Pretty good pressure. Does the job nicely. Like the long airline.

This is a great investment.

  • Explaining Duty Cycle of Slime Pro Power Tire Inflator
Duty cycle for a compressor is how long it can be run in ambient temperature before needing to cool down; which means running a compressor in hot or cold temperatures will affect the time. According to the instructions the Slime Pro Power Tire Inflator # SLM40031 can be run for 10 minutes before needing another 25 to cool down. This inflator will take about 3 minutes to fill a standard tire of up to 35 psi but will be more for the larger tires of your 2016 Ford F-150. I've added a pair...

  • Can Trailer Tires Be Under-Inflated for Driving on Beaches
Provider does not publish various psi-to-weight capacity specs for their ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tire # PRG80235 the way that Goodyear does for their Endurance radials like # 724858519. Goodyear actually tests their tires' weight capacities at different psi pressures. Provider does not. Lowering pressure will always lower weight carry capacity as you'll see in the linked Goodyear chart. Since we do not have the same confirmed data from Provider you are on your own in terms of choosing...

  • Could Bike Pump be Used to Inflate 5th Airborne Cushioned Pin Box
Typically people end up running around 90-100 psi in the 5th Airborne pin boxes like the # 5AB-E1621-16K so if you had a hand pump that was able to create that much pressure that would work. Most likely that would be too much to do by hand though so typically people find the right pressure at home where they have access to a compressor and then not adjust beyond that point. For a remote inflator that's rated for up to 150 psi you could use the Slime Pro Power Tire Inflator # SLM40031...

  • I Cannot Add Air To My Trailer Tires After Sitting
The issue you are having trying to fill your tires is most likely either a stuck valve core or possibly that the compressor you are using is not rated for the pressure inside your trailer's tires. The majority of air compressors at your local gas station will however be rated for this so odds are the valve stems just need replaced. For this, we have part # AM20904. The valve cores going bad would not have anything to do with the tire itself. Please note, these trailer tires need to be filled...

  • Best 175/80-13 Trailer Tires for 24 Foot Long Travel Trailer
The reason your service manager recommended a wheel and tire combo for you is because by the time you pay to have the new tires mounted and balanced you will be spending about the same amount of money as a new wheel/tire assembly that is already mounted and semi balanced for you. This is a smart move and what I recommend for you as the bead seats on wheels can become corroded over time and cause leaks. In regards to quality, the Kenda and Westlake brands you mentioned are good options...

  • Will Tru-Flate Wall-Mounted Tire Inflator Work if Plugged into AC Outlet in 2013 Toyota Highlander
Is the outlet at the back of your 2013 Toyota Highlander a 3-hole? Because the Tru-Flate Wall-Mounted Tire Inflator # 16-250 does require a 3-hole outlet rated for 120 volts at 60Hz. Output is 150 watts. If you do the math that means it pulls 1.25 amps. So if the outlet meets those specs it can power the compressor. But keep in mind that the manufacturer states it is for household use only. The compressor I keep in my vehicle is the Slime Pro Power Tire Inflator - Heavy Duty Item # SLM40031...
