Question:

Is there a video for install of this hitch on a 2025 Pacifica ? Perhaps there’s no change to previous years styles but still looking for which video you would recommend. Also, if I am only planning to use a cargo carrier and not actually tow anything, do I need to do the wiring? Also regarding the wiring, if at some point I were to need it,do I have to install at the point in time when the hitch is installed or can I do it later? Thank you!!

Hello Shara, thanks for reaching out. I see that you already ordered the # e98903 hitch which is for the 2025 Pacifica, but I wanted to reply anyway to make sure all your questions were answered.

To answer your first question, we do have a video showing this hitch installed on a 2023 Pacifica, and I have linked it for you below. Installation will be virtually identical to the 2025 model, so if you are planning to install yourself that video will be a big help. I actually installed a hitch on a Pacifica not too long ago. It was pretty straight forward. The only hard part I remember was it was bit tricky to get to the bolts behind the exhaust, even with the hangers removed. Fortunately I had a helper with smaller hands than me so they had a bit easier go of it lol. Having an extra pair of hands to raise the hitch into place is a big help too. A set of ramps helps a lot too. Helps free up some room to work.

If you are doing just a cargo carrier, you would not need the wiring harness. Unless of course your cargo carrier has a light kit or license plate light. Most standard cargo carriers like part # e98874 do not have lights though.

The wiring harness part # TK96FR can be added later though. For the pacifica it is pretty easy you just remove the tail light housing and plug in, then route the power wire up to the battery. On the Pacifica this step was actually easier than on other vehicles. There is plenty of room in the engine compartment for running the wire. But again this could easily be added later at any point if that need arises. You do not have to install wiring at the same time as the hitch.
