How Thick Should Brake Shoe LIning Be On A 3,500 lb Axle

Question:
Hi, can you tell me how thick the brake lining should be on 3500lb axel with electric brakes? I think they are Dexter brand.

Hey John, thanks for reaching out. The brake shoe lining on a 3,500 lb axle brake assembly should be like 0.18" when brand new. Dexter recommends replacing the shoes when they get down to about 0.0625 or 1/16". Let me know if you need anything else.
