Do Derale Transmission Coolers have Thermostats
Question:
is your part# D13504 transmission cooler has self-regulating feature, if not which cooler has?
asked by: Ali A
Helpful Expert Reply:
The transmission cooler # D13504 by itself will allow fluid to flow through it all the time, it does not have a thermostat to allow fluid to only flow through it at certain temperatures. What you can do is add the Fluid Control Thermostat Kit, # D13011. This will only allow fluid to flow to the cooler once the fluid temperature reaches 180 degrees. You will also need mounting bracket # D25793.
