Recommended Reese Goose Box for a 2011 Montana 3400RL

Recently purchased this RV and need to know if I will need the adapter plates for the mounting.

Installing the Reese Goose Box # RP85FR will depend on the pin box number of your current king pin as this is specific to the Lippert 1621 and 0719 models. If you are unsure of your pin box, however, it is definitely a good idea to verify which you have. This can be easily done by contacting the manufacturer of your trailer to ask. All you will need is the VIN and they should be able to tell you as they keep this on file.
In the off chance they cannot tell you, there are other ways to verify which one you have. First will be to check your pin box for a label. The manufacturer and model number of the pin box is usually printed on a sticker or stamped into a plate or directly into the metal of the pin box.
If the label has been removed and no stamping can be found, you can also measure to confirm you pin box number. I have an article attached that will show exactly where to measure and what that measurement will determine.
