Adapter for BMW Bike Rack # 82712166924 to Fit Roof Rack Top Channels
Question:
I have a BMW #82712166924 roof bike rack that I would like to use on VW base carrier bars. I believe all of this equipment is manufactured by Thule and the only difference between the BMW and VW base carrier bars is the size of the slot where the tinch bolt fits. Would this kit accomplish that?

Expert Reply:
The BMW bike rack you have is basically a rebranded Thule Big Mouth bike rack so to allow it to fit the OEM rails of your roof rack that have channels you can use the # XADAPT2 that you referenced.
