Mounting Hardware/Adapter for Older Thule Flat Top Ski Carrier

Hello. This is a follow up to an earlier question, included a picture of my racks, theyre ~ 22 in length. Only part number I found on the racks was 853-2805. Need mounts, and I believe the round nuts, to adapt the racks to oem crossbars on my 2010 Mazda CX-9. Thank You

I was able to determine from your picture that you have the older style of Thule Flat Top TH725 which we have an adapter to allow the rack to fit into roof top channels with part # Xadapt2. This would be the adapter you'd need if your bars have channels that run down the middle of them.

Otherwise the correct replacement hardware for your carrier would be the # 7533998.

Yes, the SquareBar Adapters for Thule Snowpack, SnowPack Extender, DockGlide, or DockGrip item #TH8897 you referenced are compatible with the older Thule SnowPack Extender Ski and Snowboard Carriers like item #TH7325.

It looks like you are going to need replacement hardware kit #7533998. This kit fits all Thule snowsport carriers. It includes the brackets, hardware, and specialty tools for installation.

That looks like an older Thule Flat Top ski rack. For a mounting hardware kit that allows it to fit newer style roof racks we have the #7533998 which will work on your 2017 Subaru Outback.

You can use either the Thule 2-Wing Knob #753-1897-03 which came on the Thule 725 Ski Carrier or you can use the Round Nut #853-5439 with the Mounting Kit #7533998 you have. You will need 2 of the knobs or nuts per mount or 4 total for the set.

Yes as the part #7533998 is designed for adapting the old style of Thule Flat Top to aero crossbars. We've had customers email us and say this worked for their 17 year Thule ski rack so this would be correct for you.
