Are Wheel and Tire Weight Capacities Rated Per Tire for Palomino Colt Popup Camper
Question:
Hi - Im looking at these tires for my 2000 Palomino Colt. Ive never bought replacements before, and Im not sure how the weight ratings work...According to the specs, the axel weight is 1110 lbs, and the total weight is 1245 lbs. Of course, thats unloaded. So if the tire is rated at 950 lbs...is that per tire, or a total load capacity? There are 4.80 x 12 inch tires on it now, which I assume are original. Im just not sure what I should be looking for. Thank you for your help!

The weight capacities for wheels and tires are rated individually; for example, the Kenda 4.80-12 Bias Trailer Tire with 12" White Wheel - 4 on 4 - Load Range C # AM30620 you referenced have a 990 lb weight capacity so a pair of these will give you 1,980 lbs of capacity.
A pair of these would work for you because you want tires that have a capacity that at least matches your GVWR so you would need to find what that is for your 2000 Palomino Colt. I looked and was unable to determine what your GVWR is because there are so many different models of 2000 Palomino Colt.
If it turns out your GVWR is 1,245 lbs, the Kenda 4.80-12 Bias Trailer Tire with 12" White Wheel # AM30620 would be a great option.
